We’re proud of the incredible progress made by the Skanska Traylor Joint Venture team on the Portal North Bridge project. With service targeted for 2026, this bridge will support the journeys of thousands of rail passengers each day across the Northeast Corridor. #TraylorDriven
In just three short weeks, Portal North Bridge has gone from having an empty deck on top of the surface to a structure featuring 800 tons of ballast and the installation of 1,200 linear feet of track and track ties, as it continues to prepare for service in March 2026. Thanks to the strong collaboration with our partners at NJ TRANSIT and our contractors, exciting progress continues, and the work that gets done between site visits is significant!

The Traylor Construction Group-Sundt JV recently completed a major milestone on the Tarrant Regional Water District Integrated Pipeline – Section 19 Long Tunnel Crossings project: the successful self-perform installation of 84” steel carrier pipe in both the Cedar Creek and Hollywood Lake tunnels. This complex scope involved transporting 40-foot pipe sections into the tunnels, welding each joint in place and placing cellular grout in the annular space between the steel pipe and precast concrete tunnel liners. To meet project-specific demands, the team customized the on-site grout plant, reconfiguring and upgrading equipment to improve efficiency and overall performance. Grouting 84” pipe in confined tunnel environments carried risk, but the team delivered the work safely, effectively, and with the quality we're known for, demonstrating collaboration, problem-solving and technical expertise in action.

Congratulations to our high-performing Juneau Creek Bridge team for making significant progress erecting the 45 girders delivered to the site—each measuring between 90 and 120 feet long and weighing between 100,000 and 150,000 pounds. This milestone brings us one step closer to launching the structure across the 450-foot canyon! #TraylorDriven
