📸 Powering progress at sunrise at the Mill Creek Combined Cycle Power Project in Louisville, Kentucky. The Mill Creek Combined Cycle Power Project team has been hard at work. All major equipment foundations are complete, with turbine pedestal pours scheduled for later this month. HRSG equipment deliveries started with modules set to arrive in July. Construction is underway on the cooling tower, administration building and field-erected tanks. Underground electrical and piping work continues to make way for the remaining BOP foundation pours on the horizon. Despite challenging conditions — one of the wettest years on record in Kentucky — the underground crews have kept the project on track. Project Manager Wayne Wilson shared his appreciation: “Huge shoutout to our civil, electrical, concrete, pipe and support crews. From snow to rain, they’ve pushed through. Because of their adaptability and hard work, we’re set to complete critical foundations in time for power equipment deliveries this July and August.” A big thank you to the entire Mill Creek project team for your continued dedication. We're revisiting one of our past projects: the Freeport LNG Restoration Construction. As the general contractor, TIC helped restart the LNG facility following an incident that brought operations to a halt. Our scope of work included the investigation and inspection, demolition, disposal, remediation and replacement of process valves and piping, structural steel, civil structures, instrumentation, fire and gas detection and electrical systems that were damaged due to the incident. The project was executed in phases to restore the facility to its original operating capacity.
