I’m honored to share that the Security Executive Council has nominated Tanger and the Asheville Police Department (APD) for Outstanding Security Partnership, and our own Bill Burgess , Tanger’s Senior Director of Corporate Security, for Outstanding In-House Security Manager/Director, for The Outstanding Security Performance Awards (OSPAs) 2025. This recognition highlights the outstanding collaboration between our corporate security and field teams, along with the APD, in transforming our Asheville shopping center into a vital hub for first responders after Hurricane Helene. Together, they supported drone deliveries of life-saving supplies and provided real-time aerial intelligence. This partnership continues today, with APD operating a drone network—many launched from our Tanger Asheville property—delivering critical aerial insights when every second counts. Thank you to the Security Executive Council for recognizing this powerful example of public-private collaboration and Tanger’s community-first approach in action. From on-site celebrations and Tanger Around Town initiatives to volunteer efforts, these moments reflect our deep commitment to being an active, inclusive part of the communities we serve.   Inclusion is one of our core values—and it’s something we champion every day, not just in June. We honor individuality and authenticity, and we embrace the diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and contributions that make Tanger a vibrant place to work and a strong partner in every community we call home.

Tanger is thrilled to host Miami’s famous Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-Up Tour—the first-ever luxury retail roadshow of its kind—at Tanger Asheville this summer. The Pop-up opened with a vibrant Grand Opening celebration this week and will run through August 10, treating guests to an immersive and elevated shopping experience featuring a curated collection of 12 iconic luxury brands, including Tiffany & Co., Valentino, Balmain, Assouline, Etro, Golden Goose, Eleventy, Johanna Ortiz, as well as Personal Shopping services giving access to 60+ brands from Bal Harbour Shops, Florida. During ICSC Las Vegas last month, Stephen Yalof, CEO of Tanger, sat down with Kyle Matthews, host of The Matthews Mentality Podcast, for a vibrant conversation on the pivotal moments and lessons that shaped his career, and the importance of transparency, accessibility, and trust in building high-performing teams. Reflecting on the culture of Tanger, Stephen said, “The spirit of our leadership is ‘Do the things you can do and trust your team to get the rest done.’ That trickles down to the rest of the organization, and I think that helps build a lot of trust…gives people chances…(and) the opportunity to make decisions along the journey.” Stephen also shares how Tanger infuses this same spirit of empowerment and opportunity into each of its centers—creating memorable experiences for shoppers and thriving communities in which Tanger operates. Many thanks to the Matthews Mentality Podcast for this opportunity. Watch the full interview here: https://lnkd.in/gwfJnBeZ
