Flashback Friday: Engineering GE’s Legacy HQ 🔌📍 In the early 1970s, we brought the power of engineering precision to the General Electric Corporate Headquarters in Fairfield, CT. Set on 700 acres, this campus featured a bold, energy-efficient design for its time—complete with a heliport, underground service tunnels, and an advanced mechanical/electrical network serving 600,000+ square feet of office space. 🛠️ Syska’s role? Delivering seamless building systems integration to match GE’s forward-thinking vision—supporting operations, executive suites, and even labs—all while the site remained operational. A challenging build—and one we’re proud to have been a part of. We partnered with CCRM, Perkins&Will, and Leopardo Construction  to help transform the 8th floor of 225 West Wacker into a state-of-the-art fertility surgery center overlooking the Chicago River. From new custom AHUs and generator systems to full OR and lab capabilities, our team helped bring complex MEP and low voltage systems to life—all without interrupting day-to-day building operations.
