🔩 Meet Dan Sterba – Design Engineering Intern Extraordinaire! This summer, we've had the pleasure of working with Dan Sterba, a standout Design Engineering Intern with our Food, Beverage & Pharmaceutical Group at Steel & O’Brien. Dan brings reliable technical expertise and effective leadership to every project. He creates custom CAD models and detailed drawings daily, providing critical guidance for our customers, fabricators, and machinists. He works cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to ensure every part is designed for feasibility, safety, and precision. On the shop floor, Dan helps drive continuous improvement, takes inventory, documents tooling, and shares ideas to boost efficiency. Dan is entering his senior year at Clarkson University, where he majors in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Manufacturing Engineering. But engineering is just one part of who he is. He’s a campus leader, President of the Mechanical Engineering Honor Society, President of the Interfraternity Council, and an executive board member of Delta Upsilon. In his free time, Dan builds in his wood shop, hits the trails to hike or ski in the Adirondacks, experiments in the kitchen, or explores DJing. We’re excited to see how Dan continues to blend engineering excellence with leadership and creativity.
