From our CHRO, an important update for our state employees and their families!
Family matters. Fertility treatments for our workforce are now covered. As the average age when women in the United States first give birth continues to rise, about four-in-ten adults say they have used fertility treatments or personally know someone who has. I am excited about the progress in Utah to make fertility treatments more affordable, especially considering that only around 42% of employers offered fertility benefits in 2024. PEHP Health & Benefits, our world class provider, now covers these treatments like any other benefit, with the same deductibles, co-payments, and out-of-pocket maximums. Our work continues to showcase Utah as the family state. Thanks R. Chet Loftis and your team for helping get us there. It's also great to have a state leader like Aimee Winder Newton to provide executive support.
