11 𝗧𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 – 𝗦𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱!  ✅ Our radiation protection door for a nuclear facility was inspected and officially approved by the client yesterday. The result: complete satisfaction!  Feedback like this is invaluable, as it highlights the importance of close coordination and meticulous craftsmanship. The door measures 3.40 meters in height and 1.75 meters in width, is made of 250 mm thick steel plating, and weighs in at around 11 tons. Despite special modifications such as an integrated cable duct and a ventilation opening, it maintains its full shielding performance.

After 35 years, an impressive career comes to an end—one marked by strong commitment, outstanding professional expertise, and deep loyalty to the company. Manfred Hübner played a key role in guiding the company along its growth path and through the challenges of internationalization. During a formal ceremony, the management team and numerous colleagues expressed their gratitude for his tireless support and sense of responsibility, accompanied by their best wishes for this new chapter in his life. With Simon Pargent-Zettlmeißl, a well-prepared successor is taking on the role of Head of Finance. Having contributed to shaping SOMMER’s financial and commercial processes for more than seven years, the management looks forward to continuing this successful collaboration. With his extensive experience and fresh ideas, Simon Pargent-Zettlmeißl will steer the company through upcoming financial challenges in the project business. The management extended their best wishes and every success to him in his new role during this special occasion.

𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗰𝗰𝘂𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀   In May 2025, we successfully passed the surveillance audits according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, EN 1090, and ISO 3834—conducted by TÜV Rheinland.   With no deviations, we have once again demonstrated that our processes meet the highest standards. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗻𝗮𝗰𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗯ü𝗵𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝘂𝘀 Last Friday's SOMMERnacht not only marked the end of a special evening, but also the end of the bühne raus event series, which has brought music, culture and encounters to the city center of Hof over the past few years. We at SOMMER are proud that we were able to help shape the worthy conclusion of this series with our SOMMERnacht - and thus set a visible sign of cultural commitment and regional togetherness. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝗶𝗻 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. An attempted break-in was made at a customer’s site, targeting one of our security doors – without success. The door withstood the attack and remains fully operational. Thanks to its robust construction, even the frame can stay in place within the system. The customer will receive a new door leaf only – and reached out to us with great satisfaction. We are grateful for the trust placed in us – and see this real incident as clear confirmation of what drives us every day: We deliver security you can rely on.

𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 – 𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗵 Team spirit, cohesion and strong cooperation are values that are actively practiced at SOMMER not only in everyday working life, but also beyond the workplace. This was once again clearly visible during this year’s Döhlau Sports Week, where the annual company football tournament took place – for the first time under its new name, the Alexander-Kauper-Cup. With two teams – Office and Production – SOMMER competed against other regional companies. After taking home the title last year, we finished this time with a strong second place (Office) and fourth place (Production) in exciting and fair matches. What was particularly nice was that all employees were invited - whether as active players or as fans on the sidelines. Many colleagues took the opportunity to loudly support our teams and enjoy a sporting afternoon together. Food and drink vouchers were provided - and the atmosphere was great all round. We would like to thank everyone who took part and made this day a real SOMMER moment. Team events like this strengthen our team spirit - and highlight what sets us apart as a company.

🎉 𝗔 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 - 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺. Dana Herrmann completed her training as a construction mechanic with 94 out of 100 points - a grade of “very good”. For this exceptional achievement, she was recognized by the Chamber of Industry and Commerce as one of the best in her year. 🏆 A result that speaks for itself - and reflects the dedication Dana has shown over the past few years. Of course, we also celebrated the successful completion of her apprenticeship at SOMMER: Together with Managing Director Thomas Minks and the training team, Dana was officially congratulated and honored with a small gift. 💐🤝 Dear Dana, we are proud of you - and are delighted that you are continuing on your path at SOMMER. Was für ein toller Abend!   Unser traditionelles NEXT Sommerfest am vergangenen Donnerstag war wieder ein voller Erfolg. 🔵 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 2025 – 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀, 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝘂𝗹𝘀𝗲𝘀 Our entire sales team recently came together for the SOMMER Sales Conference. Two intensive days – shaped by open dialogue, clear analysis, and a shared view toward the future. Key topics included: ✅ a constructive review of the past months ✅ a realistic assessment of current challenges ✅ fresh ideas to strengthen our performance and customer satisfaction The presentation of our strategic cooperation partners once again highlighted the importance of strong networks for sustainable growth – and the opportunities that arise through collaboration. With renewed energy and clear direction, we are now heading into the second half of the year. A big thank-you to the whole team – for your commitment, openness, and strong team spirit!

𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 – 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱! For two days, our focus was all about health: from lung screenings and body fat measurements to reaction and coordination tests with BlazePods, plus an engaging lecture on workplace ergonomics. Our employees gained valuable insights and practical tips for a healthier workday. A special highlight was the official presentation of a €2,750 check to support further health initiatives at SOMMER.
