Building brands that resonate.
About us
Signal Theory is a brand development, marketing and design firm with offices in Kansas City and Wichita. Our job is to help people and brands connect in ways that mean something, which is more complicated than it sounds. But it starts with something very small – the act of signaling. Something every living organism, no matter the size or complexity – does each and every day, a million times over. Sometimes the signals are loud and clear. Sometimes they are subconscious and require some coaxing. In any regard, we exist to find resonance in the signals that flow between people and brands. Because that’s how you build trust, provide powerful solutions and say something that truly resonates.

"Iron sharpens iron," especially when navigating the AI frontier. Samantha Scantlebury’s notes from the recent AMIN Integrated conference are a testament to the power of shared learning, offering a look at the optimistic (and realistic) path forward for agencies embracing AI. #SignalTheory #AMIN #AI #FutureOfAdvertising #MarketingTransformation
My favorite part of the AMIN Integrated 2025 conference (though there were a lot of great moments to choose from) was discussing tips and insights with my strategy peers on how to leverage AI to create truly great work. Read on for more about my experience and AI-fueled discussions.

Sometimes the best creative advice comes from unexpected places. Our Creative Director, Micah Barta, got to chat with Conan O'Brien about the magic behind memorable work. The takeaway? Great advertising, like great comedy, requires embracing the absurd. #SignalTheory #BehavioralMarketing #ConanNeedsAFriend

Proof that innovation lives at unexpected intersections. Creative Director, Landon Barton discusses the behavioral science that led us to partner with Adam Savage and create a product launch campaign unlike any other. When MICHELIN For Professional Businesses approached us to launch their revolutionary X® Line Grip D tire, we knew traditional B2B tactics wouldn’t cut it. That’s where behavioral science came in, specifically the principle that people trust experts they can see in action more than marketing claims. Enter Adam Savage and the “Tested” team, who brought their signature hands-on approach to tire testing in ways the trucking industry had never seen before. This partnership transformed technical specs into must-watch content that’s resonating far beyond our target audience. It’s proof that B2B marketing doesn’t have to follow the old playbook — when you understand how people actually make decisions, you can create campaigns that inform, engage and inspire. #SignalTheory #BehavioralMarketing #MichelinTruckTires #MichelinXLGD #AdamSavage #MythBusters #Tested
