We are proud to announce our intention to acquire Summit Bank, a respected community bank serving the East Bay since 1982. This exciting milestone advances our mission of providing exceptional banking services and financial resources tailored to meet the needs of Bay Area communities. Through this acquisition, which received unanimous approval from both Boards and is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2026, we can expand our footprint with the addition of three branches in Oakland, Walnut Creek, and Emeryville. Summit Bank customers will be welcomed as full-fledged San Francisco Federal Credit Union members, enjoying access to our existing branch network and suite of products and services, including competitive rates and digital banking innovations. Current San Francisco Federal Credit Union members will also receive benefits, with expanded access to our services outside of San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. As San Francisco Federal Credit Union CEO Ray Shams said, “We are thrilled to welcome Summit Bank customers and employees to the San Francisco Federal Credit Union family. Community is central to our mission, and as we grow, we look forward to continuing to contribute to the economic vitality of Bay Area communities. We are committed to helping our members achieve their financial goals while fostering strong local partnerships.” This growth supports our long-standing commitment to financial empowerment and deepens our roots in the communities we serve. We look forward to welcoming new members to the San Francisco Federal Credit Union family and continuing to build a strong financial future together. https://lnkd.in/grrR4niC
