Last week our team came together for a Centennial Team Tour to celebrate 100 years of development while connecting, learning from each other, and exploring 301E94 - an adpative reuse development we completed with our partners The Marmara Group.

David S. Rose joined Rose Associates in 1981 with an interest in real estate sparked by childhood visits to Rose construction sites with his father, Dan Rose. Over the years, David played key roles in projects including The Bay Club, Pentagon City, One Financial Center, Colonnade, Madison Green, The Ellington, and 305 Fifth Avenue. A forward thinker, David pioneered the field of PropTech at Rose Associates, introducing innovations like the first computerized sales gallery, punch list software, building-based social networks, and early real estate spreadsheet analysis.

As we celebrate 100 years, we honor Frederick P. Rose, whose vision, integrity, and generosity helped shape our company.  This video tribute honors Fred’s influence and legacy in shaping New York City. 

We are pleased to announce that Peter O'Keefe, has been named a 2025 Rising Star – 40 Under 40 by The Business Council of Westchester. This notable honor recognizes outstanding young professionals who are making significant contributions to the Westchester business community. As Director of Development, Peter has played a pivotal role in bringing distinctive multifamily projects to life in Yonkers and White Plains, while also leading the pre-development of a transformative, placemaking mixed-use community in Port Chester. Congratulations Peter!

At Rose, we believe in providing our interns with meaningful, real-world experiences. A cornerstone of our summer internship program is weekly property tours, led by team members from all levels of the organization. From leasing agents just starting their careers to senior executives, including our President, these tours offer valuable insight and a broader understanding of our business.

In 1976 Jonathan F.P. Rose the first member of the 3rd generation joined the firm.  During his tenure he explored the many disciplines the firm is known for, including property management where he helped to open properties on Roosevelt Island, commercial management and leasing for Manhattan Plaza, and construction where he gained hands on experience as an Assistant Superintendent at The Sheffield.   Jonathan ultimately focused on real estate development where he was instrumental in the redevelopment of the American Thread building, as well as the development of 42 East 61st in partnership with Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. He also oversaw the design and approvals of Atlantic Center.

Earlier this summer we partnered with Lifting Up Westchester for an inspiring day of teamwork and community service. Members of our Westchester team shared their operational expertise, taking on a wide range of tasks from food preparation and punchlisting to painting, preventative maintenence, and general repairs, all in support of the Open Arms Shelter in White Plains.
