Always a great conversation with Steve Kraus talking about where health care is headed and how we get there. I met Steve over a decade ago (over one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had in my life!) and have always enjoyed catching up with him. He’s always got great insights into industry trends and how we can all strive for better. While there is progress within the industry in redesigning care models, we also know there are miles to go. We gathered last week in D. C. with folks from Risant Health, Geisinger, Cone Health and Kaiser Permanente for some great conversations about our shared goal of advancing better health and value-based care across our communities. Lots of exciting momentum and progress already, but also so much more to look forward to.  Best of all, we got to spend time together face-to-face, which is always fun. Who knew we had such top-notch mini-golfers and cornhole players, let alone amateur chicken farmers and artists, in our midst. Huge thanks to all our speakers, facilitators and participants. We’re thrilled to welcome Jessica Bartell, MD, MS, MBA to Risant Health as chief medical information officer. Dr. Bartell will be responsible for further augmenting the quality and effectiveness of clinical informatics and information across Risant Health and its organizations. Dr. Bartell brings a background in clinical transformation and enablement of population health and more than two decades of experience as a primary care provider, specializing in women’s health across academic, community and safety net settings. Her deep expertise will help advance Risant Health’s transformative vision to improve the health of millions of people by increasing access to #ValueBasedCare and coverage. https://lnkd.in/gwGPYH6X

We’re pleased to welcome Deepak Sadagopan, MHCDS to Risant Health as the business lead for the value-based platform. He will be accountable for expanding and accelerating adoption of the value-based platform, which brings together clinical knowledge, technology, and services designed to support health systems’ ability to deliver #ValueBasedCare in multipayer, multiprovider environments. Deepak brings more than two decades of experience spanning technology, health care services, and economics. Most recently at Providence, he led care transformation initiatives as chief operating officer, population health. In his new role, he will work closely with clinical leaders and IT business partners to bring together the business, clinical, and technology knowledge to build comprehensive solutions for the value-based platform. https://lnkd.in/d-iWEH4q
