We are pleased to announce that Phil Joubert has joined as Managing Director and Head of APAC Insurance Solutions. He will be based in Hong Kong and report to Greg Halagan, CFA, CAIA, Managing Director and Global Head of Insurance Solutions. Mr. Joubert is responsible for developing and leading the APAC insurance client segment. He brings a wealth of experience from his 25 years in the insurance and investments space, joining most recently from AIA Group, where he spearheaded significant initiatives, such as implementing Asset and Liability Management (ALM) and investment solutions for the firm’s insurance entities, and expanding into new asset classes including high yield bonds and #privatecredit. Mr. Joubert has also held positions at Oliver Wyman, EY, Natixis, Deutsche Bank, and Deloitte where his leadership has been instrumental in establishing innovative investment vehicles and solutions. “I’m excited to join one of the world’s most respected alternative asset managers at a time when the Asia Pacific insurance market is undergoing a profound transformation. The sheer scale of insurance assets in the region, combined with the ongoing evolution in asset allocation strategies toward alternatives and private credit, create an extraordinary opportunity for a firm with Oaktree’s expertise,” Mr. Joubert said. Oaktree's Hong Kong employees participated in the A Drop of Life 點滴是生命 #WalkForWater, a 3km charity walk where each person carries a bottle of water (5L for adults and 600 ml for kids) with a bamboo basket provided. Through the laborious work of transporting fresh water, the event aims to promote water conservation and raise funds to implement water facilities in areas with water scarcity. #OurCommunitiesMatter
