DSS is proud to contribute to Mayor Adams' stellar progress on affordable housing! We've broken records for the third year in a row, connecting a historic number of low-income New Yorkers to deeply affordable homes. A majority of these families used CityFHEPS vouchers to secure or keep their housing. Read the full report: https://on.nyc.gov/44ZVlWK

To do the essential work of serving New Yorkers in need, our agency requires a diverse and very large amount of supplies and services. Everything from furniture for homeless shelters, to delivery boxes, to official court summonses for child support needs to be purchased in a way that is legal and fair, and to provide a good value for the public funds being spent. Senior Bid Officer Joel Feuer and his colleagues in the DSS Office of Contracts make sure all of these requirements are met, getting the rest of us the literal things we need to do our jobs.
