Dr. Ashish Jain’s passion for healthcare began early, inspired by witnessing how a bypass surgery extended his grandfather’s life by 15 years. After volunteering in healthcare during high school and pursuing a medical degree, he discovered a passion for vascular surgery—a field where he could save lives while embracing leading-edge technology. He values the mental challenge, the diverse cases he handles and the opportunity to help patients recover more quickly. Since joining Novant Health in 2018, Dr. Jain has been advancing patient care by offering innovative treatments that cut hospital stays from weeks to days, greatly improving patient recovery and quality of life. When the FDA approved the minimally invasive TAMBE procedure in 2024 for thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms, Dr. Jain was among the first to adopt it—bringing this breakthrough option to patients seeking faster, safer recovery.

This weekend, Novant Health leaders joined the congregation at Mount Zion Baptist Church to announce a new partnership aimed at transforming access to healthcare in southeast Greensboro.    Together with the Mount Zion Development Company, we’re launching a multiphase plan to bring high-quality, community-centered care directly to where it's needed most — starting with a mobile care cruiser, virtual care kiosk and multispecialty clinic at the church.    Long-term plans include building a 40,000-square-foot multidisciplinary medical office offering primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, endocrinology, heart & vascular care, imaging and lab services — as well as bringing more than 60 full-time jobs to Guilford County.    📍 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eRyJtATR

When Kiva Fulea walked into her first anatomy class, she thought she might faint at the sight of her first cadaver. Instead, she found her true calling. Originally from Romania, Kiva’s journey to becoming a registered nurse at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center wasn’t easy. Dr. Nik Teppara has returned to High Point to serve the community that helped shape his career — now seeing patients at Novant Health Salem Surgical Associates – High Point. With more than 15 years of experience , Dr. Teppara specializes in robotic-assisted and minimally invasive procedures — including hernia repair, gallbladder removal and bariatric surgery. But behind the surgical scrubs? He’s a man of many talents and uses his left and right brain on his time off.   🎸 He’s a drummer in a local cover band.  🎨 He paints to relax and recharge.  👟 He’s a dad of three and can usually be found at a ball field, pool or volleyball court on weekends.  “I thought I’d retire in High Point,” he said. “So when I got the opportunity to return, it just felt right. These are my people.”
