  • Last week, our CEO, Aleksey Matyushev, and Head of Business Development, Nolan Giblin, spent invaluable time at the Pentagon with The Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for IE (SAF/Energy, Installations & Environment) and at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio with Program Executives from Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) and Big Safari. The Natilus KONA aircraft is an autonomous, attritable and modular platform that is well positioned to support Agile Combat Employment (ACE) and logistics resupply in highly contested and austere regions such as the Indo-Pacific. The KONA serves as an ideal complement to the CV-22 Osprey and the C-130J Super Hercules and utilizes existing Ground Support Equipment and 463L Master Pallets. The needs of the United States Air Force mirror those of a commercial air freight network: optimal operational efficiency with a step change reduction to dependence on energy. The KONA reduces fuel burn by 30%, increases payload volume by 40% and decreases the cost of transport by 50%. We look forward to collaborating with our partners in the DoD to advance our technology to meet the war fighter’s current and future needs. 🇺🇸 #Natilus #USAF #BlendedWingBody #DualUse

Islands and remote coastal communities often face unique logistics challenges: limited infrastructure, short runways, and the need for efficient, reliable transport. The KONA is engineered to excel in these environments. Its robust design enables operation from gravel, dirt, and grass runways—making it ideal for regions where paved runways are scarce. With a payload capacity of 3.8 metric tons and a range of 900 nautical miles, the KONA connects island networks efficiently, supporting everything from perishable goods to large, awkwardly shaped items that traditional aircraft struggle to accommodate. KONA by the Numbers: -Payload: 3.8 metric tons (8,400 lbs) -Range: 900 nautical miles (1,700 km) -Operating Costs: Up to 50% lower than conventional aircraft -Fuel Consumption: 30% less fuel per mission -Versatility: Side-loading door for fast, efficient cargo handling and adaptability for unique cargo shapes The KONA’s advanced BWB design and carbon fiber construction not only deliver unmatched efficiency but also open new market opportunities for operators serving island and remote regions. With KONA, we’re making air freight more accessible, sustainable, and cost-effective—where it’s needed most. #NatilusKONA #BlendedWingBody #CargoInnovation #IslandConnectivity #SustainableAviation

At Natilus, we believe the future of aviation should be as accessible as it is innovative. That’s why the Horizon BWB is designed to seamlessly integrate with the world’s existing airport infrastructure. The Horizon BWB is engineered to fit standard International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Code C aircraft stands—the most common stand size at major airports worldwide. This ensures broad compatibility, enabling our next-generation aircraft to operate efficiently at the same gates used by today’s leading commercial jets. But compatibility is just the beginning. The Horizon’s unique airframe design allows for seamless interaction with essential ground operations: 1.) Passenger Boarding: Designed for efficient flow, Horizon ensures fast and comfortable boarding experiences, just like conventional aircraft. 2.) Cargo Loading: The innovative fuselage supports rapid, high-capacity cargo loading, streamlining logistics for airlines and freight operators. 3.) Refueling: Standard fueling procedures are supported, minimizing operational changes for ground crews. 4.)Ground Support Equipment Interaction: All standard ground support activities—from pushback to maintenance—are accommodated, ensuring smooth turnarounds and maximum airport efficiency. With the Horizon BWB, we’re not just reimagining the aircraft—we’re making sure it fits right into today’s world. #AviationInnovation #SustainableAviation #AirportCompatibility #NatilusHorizon

A month ago, we introduced the certification pathway for our first aircraft, KONA. Today, we’re excited to share insights into how we’re navigating the rigorous FAA Part 25 certification process for our BWB passenger aircraft, HORIZON—the gold standard for transport category airworthiness in the United States. Achieving Part 25 certification is a multi-year, multi-phase journey that involves close collaboration with the FAA. The process includes: 1. Formal Application and Initial Review 2. System Documentation and Regulatory Review 3. Safety and Risk Management 4. Conformity Inspection 5. Demonstration and Testing 6. Final Approval The Horizon’s BWB design introduces new engineering challenges and opportunities—particularly in structural integrity, load distribution, and cabin layout—requiring innovative solutions while maintaining strict compliance with Part 25 standards. Our team is leveraging proven materials and manufacturing processes to accelerate certification and ensure the Horizon meets the highest safety and performance benchmarks. #AviationInnovation #FAAcertification #SustainableAviation #Natilus #HorizonBWB
