  • Spatial intelligence—the fusion of AI, satellite imagery and other cutting-edge sensors—is the key to transforming how we build in our physical world.    At the TED Conferences 2025 event, our Chief Product Officer Peter Wilczynski explored why, despite decades of digital transformation, our physical world still resembles the built environment of the 1970s—and how that can change.   In the video, Peter shows Vancouver's history of development in action—from tree loss to strategic replanting—all guided by AI-powered change detection. When spatial intelligence turns fuzzy city planning into precise measurements—suddenly every building project becomes visible, measurable and manageable.    🎥 Watch the full talk on TED: https://lnkd.in/e_VuY2xh   🔎 Then dive deeper into how Maxar is putting these ideas into action: https://lnkd.in/eFmi6rSC   #TEDTalks #SpatialIntelligence #AI #SatelliteImagery

  • At Maxar, making a difference means driving innovation that serves a greater mission. We’re proud of the people across our team—like our General Manager of US Government, Susanne Hake—who translate vision into impact, bridge commercial innovation with operational relevance, and show up every day with purpose.   As Susanne said: “For those of us who didn’t serve in uniform but still want to contribute to something larger than ourselves, the answer isn’t always obvious.” But here, it becomes clear. Every contribution—whether technical, strategic or operational—pushes the mission forward.   If you’re looking to be part of something bigger, explore how you can join us: https://lnkd.in/gG8Pbw_P   The mission is waiting.

How do you make a difference? It’s a question that I’ve asked myself throughout my career. For those of us who didn't serve in uniform but still want to contribute to something larger than ourselves, the answer isn't always obvious. I studied political science in college and moved to DC right after graduation without a job lined up because I knew I wanted to work in something related to the government. This was my way of contributing to something larger and more important. The reality was that I had to think differently about how I could make that meaningful impact as a young poli sci major, but here at Maxar Technologies, I hope you feel as I do…that we’re making a difference every day. The threats we face—from space domain awareness to tactical ISR at the edge—demand innovative partnerships between public and private sectors. They require professionals who can bridge the gap between commercial innovation and mission-critical requirements. You are those professionals.     Whether you're translating complex requirements into actionable solutions, building partnerships that deliver strategic advantage, or ensuring our warfighters have the tools they need—your contribution matters.    IMO, making a difference means:  • Showing up consistently for the mission  • Building trust through delivery, not promises  • Understanding that innovation without operational relevance is just interesting technology  • Recognizing that every capability we deliver could be mission-critical The challenges ahead require all of us working together with shared purpose. Your expertise and willingness to tackle complex problems are exactly what our national security mission needs. So how will you continue to make a difference? The mission is waiting.

  • A recent episode of Geoawesome’s “Problem Solved” podcast, which featured HERE Technologies and Maxar, covered how the mapping industry has evolved in the past 40 years, challenges we’re addressing and future innovations that are underway. In the clip below, our Luca Perletta explains how we’re addressing a request from customers: getting the ability to directly task the Maxar constellation. • Space-based geospatial insights can help utility companies prioritize their time in the field, from only visiting sites that need vegetation mitigation to creating storm and wildfire risk assessments. In the video below, see how we work together with AiDASH to bring these insights to customers who want to secure tomorrow’s grid. • Maxar and Striveworks are working together to unlock global-scale predictive intelligence and the ability to monitor hundreds of sites around the world simultaneously. We're integrating Striveworks' AIOps platform into some of our site monitoring workflows to supercharge our object and anomaly detection capabilities. Maxar is collecting and fusing vast amounts of high-resolution satellite imagery and other geospatial data—from electro-optical to radar imagery—funneling that data into our production and analysis engine. Striveworks' full-stack AI operations platform helps optimize how our customers build, integrate, maintain and improve AI models to generate faster, even more predictive insights. This partnership has helped support several important customer programs and has also been integrated into deployments of our Sentry product. 🔗 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dEiK5EEC

  • The Expo at the Esri User Conference is now open and it’s already been a busy morning! We’ll be at booth #824 through Thursday demonstrating:   🛰️ WorldView Tasking: Experience the newest way to send imagery collections to the Maxar constellation via MGP Pro’s user interface or API   🔭 Sentry: Check out our first-of-its-kind persistent monitoring solution that delivers strategic, predictive intelligence at global scale for monitoring places of interest across land and sea.   🚧 Building and Road Change Vectors: View our cutting-edge vector solution powered by proprietary computer vision models that detect early indicators of new construction and infrastructure changes, helping mapmakers monitor critical developments as they happen.   In addition, we hope to see you tonight at the Energy Resources and Mining Social. And remember to swing by the east end of the San Diego Convention Center to see our chalk sidewalk mural that’s getting started and will be completed on Thursday! 📸 We’ve been snapping behind-the-scenes shots this morning to capture the energy on the floor. Plus, we collected a stunning WorldView Legion image of San Diego on Sunday, July 13, showing the Convention Center in action.   If you aren’t in San Diego, connect with us online: go.maxar.com/2025-esriuc

  • Mapping can’t fall behind—but in rapidly growing cities, it often does.   Urban growth in Indian cities like Delhi, Gurugram and Noida is accelerating in unpredictable ways. Traditional mapping methods rely on predefined areas of interest—but in a world where development shifts block by block, that’s no longer enough.   We’ve created a new approach.   Our AI-driven tasking strategy pairs advanced change detection algorithms with the agility of our constellation. By automatically identifying where new buildings and roads are appearing, we can prioritize fresh image collection with unmatched speed and precision.   This allows us to: 🔍 Detect infrastructure change across vast urban areas 🗾 Collect very high-resolution 30 cm-class imagery—and enhance it to 15 cm using our HD technology 🤝 Stream those images directly into our customers’ mapping workflows via MGP Pro   The result is a smarter, faster way to keep maps current in cities that never stop evolving. Whether it’s supporting emergency response, optimizing delivery routes or managing infrastructure at scale, our change-driven tasking helps ensure the maps people rely on reflect the world as it is—today.   🔗 Read the full blog: https://lnkd.in/eUJa9W9d
