Last weekend, Marker proudly sponsored Eat Up Columbus, a signature fundraising event hosted by Freedom a la Cart to support survivors of human trafficking. The evening featured culinary excellence, moving personal stories, and an incredible show of support from the Columbus community. Thank you to everyone who showed up, gave generously, and stood for something greater. 💙

We believe great buildings begin with great people. That’s why we honor our anniversary by celebrating the folks who show up with grit, heart, and excellence day in and day out. From the field to the front office, our associates are the reason we’ve built not just spaces, but lasting relationships and community. Today, teams across Marker stepped away from the routine and shared lunch together; a small gesture to recognize the big impact they make. Here’s to 69 years of doing it with heart, and to the people leading the way into what’s next. 

Intern Spotlight: Benjamin Nickoloff, Field Operations Intern 👷♂️ Ben joined us this summer at The Guild project site, stepping into a hands-on role supporting inspections, safety procedures, and cross-team collaboration. From day one, he’s been eager to learn and ready to grow. “Being able to connect with people from different companies and learning about field operations has been my favorite part. The day-to-day has given me a deeper understanding of how the construction field works.” Ben’s passion for the industry shines through. We’re grateful to have him on our team and look forward to what’s ahead. Keep up the good work, Ben! 👏

JLL is thrilled to announce that Marker Development has secured a full building lease for their 201,600 SF speculative facility in Zanesville! The property was leased in its entirety upon construction completion - showcasing strong market demand and developer foresight. Well done to everyone at Marker, Inc. for this outstanding success!

Instead of just stationary still images, this timelapse video was generated using clips taken during a drone orbit move, repeatedly taken over the course of construction. Lots of variations are possible with this approach using different drone moves (zoom in, zoom out, fly over, etc.). Credit to the Zanesville-Muskingum County Port Authority and Marker, Inc. for doing the real hard work!

Looking back on a standout summer project for our team. 🌊☀️ Zoombezi Bay Water Park was the transformation of a 30-acre site into a first-rate entertainment complex attached to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Delivered on a well-coordinated schedule, the project opened just in time for Memorial Day weekend and was recognized with the ABC Central Ohio Eagle Award of Excellence. Zoombezi Bay is a Columbus summer staple. What’s your go-to tradition when you visit?

We’re excited to welcome Megan Lowry to the Marker team as our newest Project Engineer. Megan’s role is key to the daily rhythm of a successful job site. From tracking details and schedules to collaborating across teams and trades, her thoughtful, organized approach ensures our projects continue to meet the high standards our partners expect. We’re proud to keep building with people who bring curiosity, care, and commitment to the work. Welcome aboard, Megan! 🥳
