About us

The Los Angeles Dodgers are a professional baseball team based in Los Angeles, California. The Dodgers are members of the National League West division of Major League Baseball (MLB). The team originated in Brooklyn, New York, where it was known by a number of nicknames before becoming the Dodgers definitively by 1932. The team moved to Los Angeles before the 1958 season. They played their first four seasons in Los Angeles at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum before moving to their current home of Dodger Stadium, the third-oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball (trailing Fenway Park and Wrigley Field). Since 2012, the Los Angeles Dodgers have been led by Guggenheim Baseball Management and a successful team of owners consisting of Mark Walter, Magic Johnson, Todd Boehly, Bobby Patton, Jr., Peter Guber, Billie Jean King and Ilana Kloss. Under this ownership group, the Dodgers have continued to set attendance records and achieved the team's first World Series championship in over 30 years. Andrew Friedman is the Dodgers’ President, Baseball Operations and the Manager is Dave Roberts, who recently agreed to a four-year contract to manage club through 2022. The Dodgers front office comprises approximately 300 full-time and 1,400 part-time employees. The Dodgers have won seven World Series titles and 21 National League pennants. Eight Cy Young Award winners have pitched for the Dodgers, winning a total of ten Cy Young Awards (both MLB records). The team has also produced 12 Rookie of the Year award winners, including four back-to-back from 1979–1982 and five back-to-back from 1992–1996, the longest consecutive streaks in Major League Baseball. • We are so proud of the Fellows and Interns in our 2025 Emerging Talent Program! Yesterday, 5 groups presented ideas to approach a unique Dodger Stadium challenge in front of an audience of family, friends and Dodger employees (including our President Stan Kasten and EVP/CMO Lon Rosen). Our judges asked some tough questions and they had to stay within a time limit. Their success across the board gave all of us cause to celebrate!

  • Our Community Relations team has been hard at work this spring, creating unforgettable moments and meaningful connections. Take a look at some of the incredible events they’ve put on recently. ⚾ Firefighter Appreciation Luncheon: Ahead of Firefighter Appreciation Night, the Dodgers hosted a special “Thank You” luncheon for firefighters from local LAFD stations. Will Smith, Tommy Edman, Max Muncy, and Tanner Scott made a surprise appearance and spent some time serving lunch and expressing their appreciation. ⚾ Make-A-Wish: In partnership with Fanatics and Make-A-Wish, the Dodgers granted seven incredible children their wish of becoming a Dodger for the day. Each child signed a one-day contract with Manager Dave Roberts and received a VIP experience, including a private stadium tour, a behind-the-scenes panel with the Dodger broadcast team, a VIP viewing of Batting Practice, and the ultimate highlight – playing catch on the field with some of their favorite Dodger players. ⚾ Catching Hope Community Clinic: Will & Cara Smith’s, Catching Hope Foundation, returned to host their second annual Catching Hope Community Clinic at Dodger Stadium. In partnership with the Dodgers, the event welcomed 200 elementary school students for a full day of fun and learning, including hands-on STEM activities, Quick Ball, arts and crafts, and more. Blake Treinen, Andy Pages, Jack Dreyer, and Dalton Rushing also joined in on the excitement. ⚾ LA Reads: In collaboration with the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation, the Dodgers hosted an LA Reads event at Dunsmore Elementary School, a Japanese Dual Immersion campus.  Yoshinobu Yamamoto read to students and participated in a Q&A to continue to promote literacy skills and celebrate cultural inclusion. ⚾ PLAY Ball Clinic: As part of MLB’s Play Ball Weekend, the Dodgers hosted a free baseball skills clinic for 200 youth from a local community center. The clinic focused on fun and fundamentals through interactive drill stations. Each participant also left with their own bat and ball set to continue practicing at home. ⚾ Juneteenth Picnic: To commemorate Juneteenth, the Dodgers welcomed local high school students for a special afternoon at Dodger Stadium. The celebration featured a creative workshop led by artist Terrick Gutierrez and DJ Severe. Students enjoyed a Q&A with Dave Roberts and Kirstin Watson and took in a panel with Dodger staff. Mookie Betts made a surprise appearance and fielded questions from several students.
