"Why is there a duck in Lake Country's logo?" It's simple really. Our founder, Jim, always arrived to work early, and would often be greeted by ducks taking flight at the pond located at our original plant. Those ducks are a part of our story. We added them to our logo so we'd always stay grounded in our roots. Whether you're just starting out in detailing or have an established business, take a moment to remember your roots on your path to perfection. 

Say hello to our new Territory Sales Managers! We asked Brian and Wes about their favorite car or project they’ve ever worked on — here’s what they said:

"Why is a buffing pad company named Lake Country Manufacturing?" A fair question we're often asked. Back in 1977, our founder Jim Schneider purchased what was then known as the Milwaukee Tanning Company. Since 1883, they manufactured sheepskin apparel, powder puffs for cosmetics, leather dice cups, and a sheepskin product—or what we like to call, BUFFING PADS. When we set up roots in Wisconsin's Lake Country region, our name made perfect sense. Fast forward almost 50 years later, and detailers worldwide trust our pads for the perfect finish.
