They’ve commanded troops. Modernized fleets. Shaped military operations. Now, they’re helping guide what we believe is the future of autonomous defense technology. Kodiak has formed the Defense Advisory Council—composed of retired senior military leaders with deep experience across combat operations, acquisition, and modernization—to help guide the deployment of Kodiak’s autonomous vehicle technology in defense markets. LTG. (Ret.) Ross Coffman—former Deputy Commanding General of Army Futures Command—is joined by General (Ret) Frank McKenzie U.S. Marines —former Commander of U.S. Central Command—and Vice Admiral (Ret.) Michael Moran—former Principal Military Deputy for Navy R&D—as the founding members. Their mission: Advise Kodiak on how to deploy the Kodiak Driver to support servicemembers across logistics, mobility, and contested environments—with speed, safety, and impact. With decades of leadership, including CENTCOM, Naval Air Systems Command, and Army Futures Command, they bring operational and strategic insight into deploying AI-powered autonomous systems where they’re needed most.

We’ve built for whatever the road brings. Many runs between Dallas and Houston, stitched together into one continuous drive. Each clip picks up where the last left off—but the conditions shift: rain, glare, traffic, shadows. Different days. Different trucks. Same stretch of highway. Same consistent performance. These shifts in light, weather, and traffic aren’t obstacles; they’re part of the job. The Kodiak Driver, powered by AI and equipped with Kodiak Vision, combines input from LiDAR, radar, and cameras to monitor the driving environment, anticipate changes, and respond with precision. Because autonomy isn’t about perfect conditions—it’s about dependable performance in imperfect ones. This is how we support commercial freight: day and night, dry or wet, consistent and scalable. Autonomy that works—when and where it’s needed.

A great driver doesn’t just see what’s around—it stays aware of where things are and how they’re moving in its environment. Our AI does the same. The Kodiak Driver layers sensing, perception, and localization to continuously monitor its surroundings. It tracks vehicles, maps behavior, and adjusts in real time—delivering reliable performance in complex, real-world conditions.

Mohamed (Mo) Elshenawy joins Kodiak’s board of directors! Mo’s track record speaks for itself—former President and CTO at Cruise, global engineering leader at Amazon’s ReCommerce business, and now CTO at Hims & Hers. He’s scaled AI-powered platforms in autonomous vehicles, e-commerce, and digital health. Mo brings sharp technical judgment, a deep understanding of operational complexity, and firsthand experience deploying autonomy in the real world. At Tactical Warfighter Innovation Exchange (TWIX), hosted by MITRE, CENTCOM and ARCENT leaders watched the Kodiak Driver autonomously execute a live demonstration of a recovery mission: extracting an isolated operator and delivering them to a rotor-wing evac point—without putting more soldiers in harm’s way. The mission was a live demonstration of how autonomy can support real-world operations across complex terrain. We showed what’s possible when AI takes the wheel: – Extended reach – Improved efficiency – Fewer lives at risk The mission is changing. The Kodiak Driver is ready.
