California’s Fresno County produces one quarter of the nation’s food supply, but the families that live there have some of the highest rates of food insecurity in the country, report H&A’s Sarah Sieloff and Lucy Bishop. Understanding Best Management Practices (BMPs) equips #stormwater professionals to design and maintain systems that are effective, compliant, and sustainable. H&A’s Derek Sheldon, Jenna Stone, Noah Carter, and Simone Simbeck recently attended the 2025 Stormwater Quality #BMP Workshop at the Hawai‘i Convention Center, hosted by the City and County of Honolulu. The event featured educational sessions on construction, post-construction, and treatment BMPs, along with updates on evolving stormwater regulations and compliance strategies. Presentations from the American Public Works Association (APWA) added valuable insights into public works, infrastructure, and sustainable solutions.
