About us

There are a billion good intentions tucked inside each and every one of us. At GoFundMe, we believe that the impulse to help a person, fix a neighborhood, or change a nation should never be ignored. In fact, it should be shared with the entire world. That’s why we make it easy to inspire the world and turn your compassion into action. By giving people the tools they need to capture and share their story far and wide, we have built a community of more than 200 million donors and helped organizers raise over $15 billion for the causes important to them—and we are just getting started. Check out current job openings, join our team, and be a part of the change below. ## GoFundMe has assembled one of the best management teams in the business to build the next leading consumer Internet company, including leaders from LinkedIn, Groupon, and Google. We are also funded by some of Silicon Valley’s best venture capital firms, including Accel, Greylock, and TCV.

Today marks the close of GoFundMe's 2025 Summer Internship Program, and I couldn’t be prouder of what this cohort accomplished. Over the last 10 weeks, we welcomed 27 sharp, thoughtful, and driven students and early career professionals across our San Diego and San Francisco offices, as well as virtually. They supported meaningful projects across five core functions - contributing real work that had real impact. Along the way, they also took time to invest in themselves through sessions on Personal Branding, Storytelling, and Strengths Discovery. We hosted Executive Brown Bags to give them direct access to senior leaders, and created space for cross-functional learning, peer connection, and practical development. From gaining hands-on experience to sharpening their voice and confidence, this cohort showed up and made the most of every moment. Huge thank you to all the hiring managers, mentors, and team members who made this program successful. To our interns, thank you for your curiosity, your ideas, and your commitment. Excited to see where your journey takes you next. Special shout-out to Quinny Tran Wood, Golnar Tahriri Amery Cameron Milstein Ericson Ancheta Lauren Montella Melinda Pope #internshipprogram #earlycareers #learninganddevelopment #futureleaders #GoFundMe

    Co-Founder at Pillar

Excited to announce our latest partnership with GoFundMe. At Pillar, our mission is to empower anyone to maximize their brand's impact. That’s why we’ve officially partnered with GoFundMe, the world’s leading fundraising platform with $40B+ raised, to make it easier than ever for your audience to support your cause. Now, when you add a GoFundMe fundraiser to your Pillar, the donation portal appears directly on your storefront. No redirects. No extra screens. Just one tap to donate without leaving your Pillar. Every extra click costs you precious support. This integration removes ~2 clicks from the donation flow, helping you keep momentum strong when it matters most, whether you’re raising for disaster relief, personal missions, or urgent community initiatives. Huge thanks to Jeff Katz, Jesse Lusa, Devin Bellamy, Arnie Katz, Kait Richmond and the entire GoFundMe & Pillar teams for being incredible partners in bringing this to life! Let’s make giving frictionless.

  • 📰 New partnership with Pillar that lets creators embed GoFundMe fundraiser links right into their link-in-bio storefronts!

When it comes to giving, fewer clicks = more impact. That’s the idea behind our new partnership with Pillar and Faisal Younus. At GoFundMe, our mission is to help people help each other. That means meeting them where they are, with tools that make support easier and faster. Pillar empowers creators, activists, and changemakers to own their brand, rally their community, and drive impact with a powerful link-in-bio storefront & digital business operating system. Now, they can embed a GoFundMe fundraiser directly into that storefront. Just one tap to donate—right there on the page. That simplicity matters. When someone is raising funds for disaster relief, personal missions, or their favorite nonprofit, every extra step can mean fewer supporters. Let’s make helping each other as seamless as possible.

📍 On the ground in Texas with stories that move hearts—and mobilize help. Kalina Silverman, the creator behind Make Big Talk and an Ambassador with the GoFundMe Creator Program, recently traveled to Texas with Direct Relief to document the lives of those affected by the devastating floods earlier this month. From flood survivors like Woody to the heroes of Texas Search and Rescue, Kalina met people whose quiet strength rose in the face of overwhelming loss. Her work is resonating – the first video alone has already surpassed 4 million views. We’ll link them in the comments below. This is just the latest chapter in Kalina’s impact-driven storytelling. Earlier this year, her videos helped raise over $2 million for Los Angeles wildfire survivors, and she traveled to North Carolina to spotlight recovery efforts six months after Hurricane Helene. Kalina’s work does more than tell stories—it builds empathy, drives donations, and brings hope to communities in crisis. 💚 When nonprofits collaborate with GoFundMe creators like Kalina, storytelling becomes a superpower. This is the kind of partnership we’re proud to support.

Making donor-advised funds accessible to everyone 🙌 Huge thanks to The Chronicle of Philanthropy for spotlighting how GoFundMe Giving Funds are democratizing DAFs—breaking down barriers and getting more resources to the nonprofits that need them most. “We’ve noticed in philanthropy that language can be a barrier,” Professor Genevieve Shaker told the Chronicle. “Even the word “philanthropy” can be confusing to people at times and make them feel like it’s something different than what they do. It’ll be really interesting to see how people respond to the language of a “giving fund,” which is more accessible and understandable.” That insight captures so much of what we’re building toward. Giving Funds have already made a powerful impact—and we’re just getting started. With Giving Season ahead, we’re excited to keep expanding what’s possible. 💚 A new way to connect and inspire on GoFundMe 💚 GoFundMe Profiles now include a follow feature that makes it easier than ever to share the causes you care about, discover fundraisers that resonate with you, and support the people and causes that inspire you. When you share a fundraiser with your network, it can inspire a powerful wave of generosity. In fact, our research shows that personal shares help reach more supporters and drive meaningful action. One of my first follows? Paris Hilton, who was a remarkable partner to GoFundMe.org during the LA wildfires. Just last week, Paris and her team met grantees who benefited directly from her generosity and advocacy. Her profile is a beautiful example of how this feature can spotlight the fundraisers and nonprofits you champion. Explore your profile and start following others today: https://gfme.co/4lMLoS8

Big update to GoFundMe Profiles 🚀 We just launched the Follow button! Now you can follow people who inspire you—and grow your own following in return. Why is following important? Because going forward, when someone you follow creates a fundraiser or donates, you will see it and can help. Likewise, people who follow you will be notified when you take a public activity on the platform and can join in. This is how GoFundMe strengthens the connections between your community and looks to expand your community’s reach. This is the next evolution of Profiles, which are already home to incredible change-makers like Paris Hilton and Jimmy Darts. Other recent features include personalized usernames and the ability to pin your favorite causes and fundraisers. If you haven’t created your profile yet, now’s the time. Follow your friends, your favorite creators, and me! 👀 Here’s my profile: https://gfme.co/4kN6WNu Leave yours below so I can follow back.
