Each year, GEICO employees pitch the local charities and causes that matter most to them and vote to decide where our support goes. This year we received over 250 submissions and 3,000+ votes, with the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation awarding $1 million to organizations making a difference in our communities. FastPitch continues to strengthen GEICO’s culture by encouraging ownership, collaboration, and purpose at every level of our company. GEICO employees came together to honor PRIDE month. Organized by our PRIDE employee resource group (ERG), Painting with PRIDE saw employees from different departments enjoy a guided painting session where they connected, got creative, and reinforced GEICO’s commitment to inclusion. PRIDE ERG executive sponsor and Property & Commercial Lines Executive, Melissa Gallaro, shared, "It's about creating spaces for us to gather together countrywide as we continue building a culture where authenticity is valued, inclusion is intentional, and every person feels safe to be who they are."

GEICO employees honored Juneteenth with a day of celebration filled with culture and community. Led by GEICO’s GO BOLD employee resource group, employees enjoyed a live performance by the Dance Theatre of Harlem, participated in a Q and A, and supported local businesses. We appreciate everyone who took time to reflect and honor this important day.

In honor of National Rescue Dog Day, GEICO employees across the country gathered to celebrate and bringing attention to the importance of adopting dogs from shelters.   This event included on-site pet adoption events, making toys, collecting supply donations, inviting our furry friends to take part in meditation sessions, and hosting bake sales to raise money for the cause to benefit humane societies in the communities we live and work in.  #LifeatGEICO

Last month, GEICO employees across the country volunteered with Foster Love during We Care Wednesday, our quarterly event that brings hundreds of employees together to participate in dedicated volunteer activities at all our offices. For three years, the GEICO Philanthropic Foundation has partnered with Foster Love to help support the nonprofit's mission to improve the foster care experience for more than 400,000 children. During the event, hosted by our PRIDE and AANHPI employee resource groups, employees decorated new duffel bags and filled birthday and superhero themed boxes with items designed to uplift younger children in the foster care system. At GEICO, we take pride in creating a culture where our employees can give back to causes that support our local communities.
