This month for #TeamTuesday we spoke to Susan Quartano, Deposit Operations Specialist I in our Baton Rouge office. She joined FNBB in July 2023. She grew up in Baton Rouge and went to Southeastern University where she majored in history. In her spare time, she plays dungeons and dragons, reads, and knits. She is currently trying to teach herself to crochet. She has two cats named Prince Charming and Minnie, who are both 15 years old. She said, “I aspire to be either the crazy cat lady or the weird older lady that neighborhood children are convinced must be a witch.” What is the most interesting thing about working in Deposit Operations at FNBB? The most interesting thing about working in deposit operations is when we review the wires and imagine what the business associated with it might be. What’s the weirdest food you’ve eaten? The weirdest food I’ve ever eaten is probably nutria. When I was a kid, my uncle would go hunting a lot. One time he caught some nutria and cooked them in a gumbo. He made a bunch and brought us the leftovers. He didn’t tell us until later what was in it and to this day, I’m not sure if he was joking or not. Either way, it was probably the worst gumbo I ever had. If in fact it wasn’t nutria, then the weirdest food I’ve ever eaten might be a melon flavored KitKat.
