We're leading the way with a first-of-its-kind asthma care program focused on what families truly need. Instead of using a generic checklist, this system-wide screening asks families directly about social needs like housing, transportation, and medication access, factors that deeply impact asthma outcomes. Over 42% of families requested help with at least one need, showing just how critical it is to listen and act. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/emGjvdjk

It's exciting when our staff engages in community advocacy! Last week, Olivia Kelly, physical therapist, Division of Oncology, represented D.C. at the APTA Leadership Congress—delivering opening remarks to APTA component leaders, serving as an alternate delegate at the House of Delegates and meeting with Congresswoman Holmes Norton’s office to support key health initiatives. We’re grateful for her dedication to advancing the field of physical therapy and making an impact beyond our walls.
