How do Cartans make the most of work-from-home July? With a passport in one hand and a laptop in the other...we’re talking beachside brainstorms, sun-soaked Slacks, and frequent flyer miles working overtime. From Bali to Bristol, Portugal to Positano, Singapore to San Diego, Cartans logged on from beaches, bike trails, family homes, mountain cabins, and yes, even a few backyard hammocks 🌊🏞️🛶 Why do we do this? Because flexibility isn’t just a perk. It’s a philosophy. WFH July gives our team the chance to work without borders, connect more with our loved ones, and soak up summer. Needless to say, we love this perk: 🗣️ “Deep work and deep sunsets >>>>” 🗣️ “Savoring extra cuddle time and cartoon marathons with my boys” 🗣️ "The unbeatable experience of working from a beautiful porch" 🗣️ “Coffee dates with my kids > crowded subway rides” 🗣️ “From Ireland to Spain to California...feeling grateful, present, and loving it” 🗣️ "A change of latitude helps my attitude" Huge thank you to everyone who shared their unforgettable stories, photos, and sunsets with us 💛 Christina L., Elizabeth Green, Michael Yeung, Kiley Roache, Hamza S., Eielson Low, Manoela Corrêa, Margaret Lahey, Hunter Holcombe, Ava Sholl, Bárbara Fernandes, Rachel Falvey, Deirdre Ennis, Karina Dulberg, Lucy Hoyle, Nathania Fuad, Margaret Lahey, Maja Roglić Recharged and ready to get back to the office. Hello, August! #RemoteWork #WFHJuly #LifeAtCarta #WorkFromAnywhere

Meet the pipeline-builders of the future—our brilliant Sales interns! From cold calls to hot takes, you crushed goals, asked great questions, and networked like pros. You brought big energy, even bigger ambition—and let’s be honest, probably boosted our Slack reactions by 300%. 😎 Thanks for making this summer unforgettable. We asked a few of these superstars what they learned during their summer internship at Carta. “One thing I learned during my time at Carta is the value of embracing a growth mindset.” -Gianna Flores “One key lesson I learned during my internship at Carta is the importance of clear and consistent communication within a team.” -Wyatt Thayer “Out of everything I've learned, I think the top two things that come to mind, simply put, are your personal brand is what people think when they hear your name, and to ‘fail fast.’” -Blake B Johnson “One of the most impactful lessons I learned during my internship at Carta is that my curiosity is my superpower.” -Kelly Philpott They came, they dialed, they conquered. Way to turn your curiosity into connections and hustle into results. Team, you crushed it! 👏 #NationalInternDay #SummerInternship

Meet Flora Tsui. Flora is building our law firm partnership channel for Carta’s Private Equity business, collaborating closely across teams to drive a thoughtful go-to-market strategy and deliver a seamless client experience. Flora is also an avid reader with a passion for exploring ideas that stretch across history, tech, economics, politics, and fiction. Thanks to Carta’s book reimbursement policy, she’s been able to feed her ever-evolving curiosity through an impressive variety of reads. 📚 One of her favorites? The Mosquito: A Human History of Our Deadliest Predator by Timothy C. Winegard. "A fascinating read about how one of the tiniest (and most annoying) beings on the planet, the mosquito, has acted as an agent of sweeping change throughout human civilization. Historian Timothy Winegard looks beyond the typical themes of war and conquest, examining how the mosquito’s persistent presence – and the deadly diseases it spreads, such as malaria, yellow fever, dengue, and Zika – have quietly but profoundly shaped our past and continue to influence our present." Why does Flora recommend it? "I loved this book, as it offers a surprising and refreshing explanation of our present reality, reminding us to dig beyond surface-level narratives and to never underestimate even the smallest forces in history. Winegard’s work is an excellent reminder that every being in nature, no matter how small or bothersome, has a role and purpose in the larger story of life on Earth." At Carta, our book reimbursement policy empowers employees to learn, grow, and explore stories that resonate with them—whatever the genre, topic, or language—and fully reimburses their cost. #LifeAtCarta #BookClub #BookRecommendation

When 'act fast' scares off LPs: The delicate balance of fundraising urgency On this episode of The Data Minute, Peter sits down with David Zhou, Head of Investor Relations at Alchemist Accelerator and the host of Superclusters, for a deep dive into how LPs choose, and say no to, emerging managers. The tension is real: Emerging managers feel the burn of dwindling runways and push for fast commitments, while LPs need time to build genuine conviction. What starts as reasonable urgency often backfires - when EMs amplify their pitch under pressure, it triggers LP discomfort, and can lead to a pass. David Zhou breaks down this dangerous dynamic and how savvy managers avoid it. Because in fundraising, sometimes the fastest way to 'yes' is to slow down. #VentureCapital #InvestorRelations #InvestorPsychology

The team at Crafting is reimagining the software development experience for engineering teams. As their business grows, ensuring a strong financial and tax foundation is key to long-term success. That’s where QSBS Attestation comes in. Carta's review helped Crafting quickly validate their eligibility, unlocking the potential for up to $10M in tax-free capital gains for founders, employees, and investors. You're realizing gains... without even realizing it. Crafting CEO Sumeet Vaidya shared his experience: “It was quick, easy, and painless. The amount of time it saved me during fundraising was helpful, but the amount of time it saves me from future investors asking for historical evidence of QSBS eligibility is invaluable. Carta's QSBS Attestation has saved me hours of future headaches with investors around providing QSBS details and eligibility, allowing me to focus on fundraising and running my business.” With Carta’s QSBS Attestation, companies like Crafting can avoid the manual, error-prone process of verifying equity records and instead receive a defensible attestation backed by their cap table. Defensible, down to the letter. We’re proud to partner with forward-thinking teams like Crafting on their journey to build and scale. 🫶 #QSBS #Founders #StartupFinance #TaxSavings

QSBS is one of the most overlooked tax benefits for startup founders and employees. If you qualify, you may be able to exclude up to 100% of capital gains on your equity. But most people don’t know that. In a recent survey, 95% of Carta users had limited or no understanding of QSBS before using our attestation service.* How familiar are you with QSBS and its tax benefits? === *Based on responses to a UserEvidence survey conducted in June 2025. #QSBS #TaxIncentive #StartupEquity

Join us on July 30 for a first look at Carta’s new Data Warehouse. 📊 Why it matters: You’ve told us the pain points: - Your firm’s financial and cap table data lives in silos - Extracting key insights is manual, slow, and reactive - Custom requests = service tickets or spreadsheets That ends now.
