Happy Foundation Friday! 💙 The Honor a Caregiver program by the AdventHealth Foundation West Florida offers patients and families a meaningful way to recognize caregivers who made a lasting impact on them. Through a philanthropic gift, honorees receive the Heart of Hope pin, which is a token of gratitude and exceptional service. We’re happy to celebrate several of our incredible team members who were recently recognized with this honor, including Dr. Allam at AdventHealth Lake Wales, Sarah Davis, PA at AdventHealth Wesley Chapel, our cardiac rehab team at AdventHealth Heart of Florida and dedicated caregivers at AdventHealth Zephyrhills. AdventHealth Tampa is expanding to meet the needs of our community! 💙 Community stakeholders joined hospital and division leaders to break ground on a new five-story, 100,000-square-foot medical office building and a seven-story parking garage. These new facilities will improve access and make it easy for patients to get the care they need. The medical office building will house a new state-of-the-art Cancer Center, expanded clinical care offerings and advanced specialty imaging services to support surgical planning and whole-person care. The expansion also reinforces AdventHealth Tampa's commitment to medical education, as the new space will support Internal Medicine, OB/GYN and General Surgery graduate medical education programs: bit.ly/45Bblxx

C. diff is recognized as an urgent threat of the highest level by the CDC, causing almost half a million infections in the U.S. each year. To combat this threat, AdventHealth Zephyrhills is administering REBYOTA. This FDA-approved microbiome-based therapy does not require any prep, fasting, anesthesia, or colonoscopy, and is designed to prevent C. diff infections from recurring. Foundation Friday has arrived! 💙 Our AdventHealth West Florida Foundation team has had an exciting array of ribbon cuttings, achievements and events to celebrate. Let's take a look at some of the highlights: The AdventHealth West Florida Foundation team recently participated in a Building Healthy Teams workshop, hosted by DPR Construction at their Tampa office. This impactful session focused on personal growth, team connection and building trust through open dialogue and feedback. Melanie Mousel, Director of Internal Operations at AdventHealth West Florida Foundation, was recognized as one of the 40 Under 40 by the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy! This achievement is a testament to her hard work, dedication and the significant impact she has made in the health care philanthropy space. The AdventHealth North Pinellas Foundation celebrated the ribbon cutting of a new chapel, made possible by The Brock Family Foundation. This serene space offers comfort and peace to patients, families and team members. The team is also supporting new 3D mammography equipment, helping our team detect breast cancer earlier and with greater accuracy. The AdventHealth Carrollwood Foundation hosted two informative events, “Meet the Experts” and “Vision Beyond the Scope”, each featuring expert physicians sharing insights on health and patient care. The foundation team joined the Pepin family and AdventHealth Tampa as the Pepin Heart Institute celebrated becoming the first in Tampa Bay to complete 1,000 WATCHMAN™ procedures; a minimally invasive treatment that helps prevent stroke in patients with AFib. The AdventHealth Dade City and Zephyrhills Foundations is empowering patient shuttles, ensuring that more patients can get to and from their appointments safely and reliably.
