  • How to sell your app for top dollar? Most indie developers aren’t M&A experts. They know how much time, effort, and money they’ve put into their projects. But they don’t speak the same language as buyers. Buyers are investors. They don’t buy a success story. They buy an asset composed of lines of code and a marketing engine. To understand what app buyers value the most, we asked Evelin Herrera to break down: — What platforms should you develop for — How distribution channels can boost your app valuation — And how to calculate the value of your app 👉 Read the full post here: https://lnkd.in/dqXM8qcb

I never post our numbers because I don't like farming aura with ARR 😂 but for this specific app I have too! A first milestone, congrats to all the Quiet gang! The link is in comment, this app "Quit Porn" help people to stop porn addiction. More than an app, it's also a community. We have thousands of users helping each other fighting against this addiction. We published, and then acquired this app because we believe this will be something huge in the future. In a era where Onlyfans or MYM are ultra visible, we are proud to be at the opposite trend 😁 #APPS #ARR

⚡️ Late to the party, but hey, I was on holiday 🏝 Adapty’s "State of In-App Subscriptions 2025" dropped last week. You’ve probably seen highlights everywhere already, so let me skip the basics and jump straight into the most ACTIONABLE TAKEAWAYS for subscription app marketers right now: 🎯 1. WEEKLY IS NEW MONTHLY Short-term subscriptions are booming (up 10%) because they’re easy for users to say "yes" to. "World gone broke. Seriously, nobody wants to commit!" 😅 → 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: If you're not yet offering weekly options as your conversion plan, fix that this month. 🎯 2. PRICING: STOP GUESSING, START LOCALIZING Users in the Netherlands willingly pay ~62% more than in the US; users in Turkey pay ~70% less. Most teams still use vague regional multipliers instead of real data. → 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Check Adapty’s new Pricing Index and update your pricing today. It’s that easy. (Page 23, 24, 25 🤌🏼) 🎯 3. YOUR REFUNDS AREN'T ABOUT PRICE, THEY'RE ABOUT TIMING Refund rates spike when value delivery is delayed, especially with annual plans. → 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Forget the 30-day retention hacks for now; instead, optimize your onboarding for a clear "AHA" moment within the first 5 minutes. 🎯 4. FREE TRIALS ≠ EASY WINS Trials can lift your 12-month LTV up to 64%, but conversion funnels show direct paywalls often convert better overall. → 𝐈𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Shorten your trials to 0-3 days in Productivity, Lifestyle, and Utility apps. Test removing trials completely if your category allows it. Don't assume trials always win. 🤝 Proud to partner with Adapty.io and I’ve gotta say, this report is absolute gold. (They analyzed $1.9B revenue across 11k+ apps. It’s legit.) 🔗 If you missed it, LINK IS IN THE COMMENT. Curious to hear: - Which insight surprised you most? - Anyone else still recovering from post-holiday inbox chaos, or just me?

Recently read Adapty.io's 2025 report. A few things jumped out: 1. Weekly subs are eating the world. They now account for nearly 50% of in-app revenue on Adapty. Yes, they help front-load cash and improve payback windows. But the average user lasts just 2–3 months. And at $6–$8/week, that’s $25–$35/month. High churn + high cost doesn’t strike me as sustainable. And you give up all the financial benefits of a subscription business model along the way. I think we’ll see a consumer backlash soon. 2. European users are being charged more than Americans. Average prices are higher in Europe than in the US. Surprising at first since US has the highest conversion rates and willingness to pay, but maybe a smart strategy to accept and lean into the lower conversion rates and more aggressively monetize those that will pay. That or we’re all just too lazy to adjust Apple’s weird auto pricing that sets EUR pricing higher than USD… 3. Free trials = serious LTV gains. Adapty claims trials can boost LTV by 50%+ vs. direct subscriptions. That might be optimistic, but we consistently see 20–30% lifts in our own client work so the point still holds. If you’re not testing trials, now’s the time. Curious what others are seeing: What’s working for you lately (or not)?

Apple just revealed the Retention Messaging API, a native iOS cancellation sheet that lets you speak to users right at the moment they churn from subscription. Even saving 1% of users could mean thousands in extra MRR. Here’s the updates: Current state: the sheet shows price, renewal date, and a red “Cancel” button. No value reminder, no alternative, no offer. What the API unlocks:   • Explanatory text (why staying matters)   • Rich media for social proof or feature highlights   • One-tap downgrade or pause paths   • Time-boxed discounts or free periods Two integration modes:   A. Apple-hosted assets → zero infra, but no promo offers.   B. Developer-hosted JSON endpoint → full control, dynamic logic, and discounts. Timeline: prerelease signup open today; broad GA targeted for 2026 (iOS 26+). Build this into next year’s retention roadmap. Why it matters: in Adapty we see that optimized cancellation flows on the web already cut churn by up to 40%. Quick math: 50k subs × $10 / mo -> saving just 1% of would-be cancels adds ~$60k ARR. The upside scales with audience size and you get if for free.Implementation checklist: 1. Segment by tenure & usage; vary copy accordingly. 2. A/B test creative + incentives; track “save rate.” 3. Cap discounts (e.g., one per user per 12 mo) to protect LTV. Measurement stack: Apple’s upcoming App Analytics release adds >100 new metrics, including cohort-based subscription reports—perfect for isolating uplift from this API. We’ll support this feature as soon as it’s live!

Yesterday I read Adapty latest report on the mobile subscription market, and two insights really stood out: 1. Weekly subscriptions now make up half of all new purchases Even in low-ARPU regions, users are choosing weekly plans. It may not make financial sense long-term, but people are clearly paying for flexibility. Use it, cancel it - no strings attached. 2. Want to grow? Start testing Apps that ran 50+ A/B tests on their paywalls are growing 10–100× faster. Meanwhile, I’m sitting here realizing I haven’t tested a single paywall this year… Definitely gave me a lot to think about going forward
