The internet is buzzing with talk about Apple's newly-discovered "secret" file that tracks your every move. Only it turns out it isn't secret and it isn't new.

Now it is always possible to be wise after the event so let's be honest here, it was new to us. As it turns out though it isn't new. Just that outside of forensic computing circles few people knew about it. In fact this information was published in a book at the end of last year.
