  4. Orwell wrote about antisemitism in the Contemporary Jewish Record, April 1945. The magazine was transformed by the publishers American Jewish Committee into soon after.

    The gentleman at the front between Sarah Gibbs and Masha Karp is Ian Willison, whose 1953 thesis and bibliography is the basis for all later work. He received acknowledgement from Sonia Orwell and Ian Angus and from Peter Davison. He received a round of applause at UCL. And here.
