    Karen (far left) was a student nurse on a "psycho-geriatric" ward in Springfield Hospital, Manchester. She recalls taking care of a woman in her eighties who had been a patient there since the age of six.

    Richard and Karen met at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1977. He was on the ward after a motorcycle crash and she was a trainee nurse. They have been married for 38 years♥️
