Namco Bandai announced today that .hack//G.U. Part 1: REBIRTH will be shipping to retail on October 24, exclusively for the PlayStation 2. In addition, a Special Edition of REBIRTH will be available through a pre-order program with GameStop and EB Games.
Stuffed inside the Special Ed. box will be The Terminal Disc, featuring a story compilation of the previous .hack games and other surprises (goodbye hiccups!). It will allow newcomers to catch up on the history of .hack and maybe, just maybe, make some sense out of the game's title.
Also making an appearance inside the Special Edition will be a Haseo action figure, complete with weapons -- sure to look great next to your Precious Moments.
.hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth will retail for $39.99 and the Special Edition for $49.99.
