    "Big Data" gets thrown around a lot, usually in decks with too many slides and not enough honesty. Companies are collecting more data but most can’t keep up. Systems get overwhelmed. Data shows up in ten different formats from ten different sources. Without the right people to clean it, structure it, and actually do something with it, it’s just noise. If that data’s wrong, out of date, or corrupted, the decisions that follow go sideways fast. That’s a leadership problem, not just a tech one. And let’s not even get started on security. Most orgs are sitting on sensitive data without the monitoring or access controls to keep it safe. This has a lot more to do with the people than just the tech. Most teams don’t have enough folks who can handle data at this scale, with this much complexity. In our world (geospatial, EO, climate, AI) that gap is showing more and more. So the question isn’t “how much data can we capture?” It’s “do we have the people who can make sense of it before it buries us?” One to think about. If the answer is no, then you know where we are. #geospatial #geoai #hiring _________________________________________________________________________________ 👋 we are Attis, a Geospatial technology & GTM recruitment and executive search company. Hiring’s not broken. It’s just… a little worn out. New tools and titles. Same problems. If hiring in 2025 feels more complicated than ever, it’s fine, you’re not imagining it. So we put together a quick carousel on the five pain points we see most often, and what needs to shift to fix them. If you’re leading a team, scaling a company, or just trying to get one good hire through the door, this one’s for you. #Hiring2025 #Recruitment #PeopleOps #FutureOfWork #AttisGlobal

    Q3 hiring plans are in. And they’re… cautiously optimistic. Check the graph below! 👇 The catch, though, is that nearly 9 in 10 say global trade tensions are influencing those decisions. So what do you do when the hiring plan isn “wait and see” mode?? You plan anyway. You build the pipeline, and stay visible. You make sure your process doesn’t fall asleep at the wheel. Even if hiring might slows, brand trust doesn’t have to. And when the green light comes back on, you’ll be ready. #HiringTrends #Q32025 #RecruitmentInsights #WorkforcePlanning #AttisGlobal

    Honda just surprised us all again, and this time, with rockets! In Taiki, Japan, Honda R&D launched a 21‑foot prototype rocket that soared nearly 900 feet, hovered, and landed within 15 inches of its target. Honda is doing the steady, serious work of learning how to build and land reusable rockets. What we find exciting: • A car company going toe-to-toe with SpaceX-level reusability tech • Using automotive precision for space-grade reliability • Japan building its own suborbital path—and quietly backing it with government investment Reusable rockets changed the game a decade ago. Now, competition’s heating up. Blue Origin, China, Europe, but Honda’s step shows how broad that field is becoming. Future payloads all need this kind of discipline. It’s Honda saying they can build aerospace systems long-term. Which industries do you think should take a page from this?     This a new AI cheat sheet might just save you from another half-hour meeting explaining what your “autonomous agent system” actually does. The Digital Twin Consortium just dropped the AI Agent Capabilities Periodic Table (AIA CPT). Think of it as a common language for what AI agents can really do, just 45 capabilities across six core buckets like perception, reasoning, learning, and safety. So why should this matter? Because right now, “AI agent” can mean anything from a friendly chatbot to a multi-agent swarm doing climate simulations. And if we can’t speak the same language, we can’t build with intention. The AIA CPT gives teams a shared map to evaluate, compare, and evolve AI agents, with clear benchmarks and maturity levels baked in. It’s especially relevant for folks working on digital twins or large systems that need real-world fidelity and trust. (That’s probably why this is already being used in cross-industry working groups.) It’s still early, but it’s a big step toward clarity. And clarity leads to better tools, better hiring, and better outcomes. Curious what kind of AI agent you really have on your hands? Now you’ve got a table for that.     This is great advice not just for job-seekers, but also hiring businesses too, and one of the reasons Attis exists. - for companies: don't wait, hire as soon as you need to, speak to us about the geospatial / tech experts we are having warm conversations with every week, 𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 the perfect candidates for your role are actively trawling job boards - there's an 𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙬𝙝𝙚𝙡𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙜 chance they are not. Which is why it's our mission to get to know as many people in the community as possible; - for candidates, by staying in touch with us, we'll know the right geospatial roles to contact you you about, and if the fit / timing is right;

    Some advice for job seekers: If there is a company that you really want to work for, start a conversation, even if they don't have an opening listed. This is evergreen advice that is particularly potent in this moment. A pattern that I'm seeing at DevSeed and have heard from other founders: - Everyone is slow to hire right now given "unprecedented" uncertainty. - By the time you really need to hire, you probably need someone who can start right away. - If you are already in warm conversations with folks that you are excited about, that route looks pretty good, compared to the time to post a position. This advice mostly applies if you are mid-career or later with some experience to point to. Even better if you have some relationship to the company or people there who can vouch for you. This advice is also best if you are on a flexible timeline to find your next adventure.
