Calls for FIFA leadership review as pressure grows on Infantino

A rift at the top of football is widening Uefa – which runs European football – said it had lost confidence in the boss of the sport’s world governing body.

Last night Fifa abandoned a plan by it’s boss Gianni Infantino to sell off stakes in the World Cup and other competitions to private investors. But Uefa accused Infantino of trying to force through a “shabby back room deal” which was “anything but transparent”.
