Requirements for removal request of content from exploitive websites

We’ll consider removal of content if it meets all 3 requirements:

  1. You’re a subject of the content in the URL you submit.
  2. The website is not a business review site.
  3. The website requires payment to the site or other agencies to have the content removed.

What to know when you request content removal

You or your representative can submit a request. When you fill out the request form, you’re asked to provide URLs for the pages that mention you. Only those URLs are reviewed for removal from search results. Learn how to find the URL of a page or image.

You need to provide additional info to help us understand how the website is exploitative. We only remove content about people.

What's the difference between policy and legal removal requests?

Google has globally applicable policies that allow you to remove private, sensitive, or sexual content about you. You can report personal content covered under Google’s policies.

If the content you’re concerned about isn't covered by these policies, specific local laws may apply in your country or region. To report content for a specific legal reason, you can create a request through the Legal Help Center.
