If you use:
- Gmail on your computer: You can sign out from Gmail on your computer.
- The Gmail app on a phone or tablet: You can only remove your account from your device.
Sign out from Gmail
- On your computer, open Gmail.
- In the top right, click Profile
.
- Click Sign out.
Tip: If you have multiple accounts in Gmail, click Sign out of all accounts.
Remove an unused, lost, or stolen device
If you forget to remove Gmail access on a device, you can sign out remotely. This helps secure your account if you lose the device or someone steals it.
- On your computer, open Gmail.
- In the top right, click Profile
.
- Click Edit Google Account.
- On the left, click Security.
- In the "Your devices" panel, click Manage all devices.
- Select a device or session you want to sign out.
- Click Sign out.
Tips:
- A session is a period of time during which you sign in to a Google Account on your device from a browser, app, or service.
- Your device may display a single session or multiple sessions. This is working as intended.
- To ensure there’s no account access from a device, you must sign out of all sessions on that device individually. Learn how to see devices with account access.
