Join Play Games Leagues

Play Games Leagues are a new challenge where you can compete against other people in the Google Play community. You can climb the leaderboards for a chance to win exclusive rewards.

Important: This feature is only available to a limited number of users in specific regions and may not be visible to everyone. For more information, go to leagues from Google Play or leagues.withgoogle.com.

Eligibility

To participate in a league:

You must be above the age of majority in your country.
Your account must not be managed by your school, a parent, or an enterprise or organization such as your employer. If you want to switch to an eligible account, you can learn how to switch accounts.
You must be in one of the countries where the league is available: Australia, Mexico, New Zealand, United States, Brazil, Austria, Belgium, Chile, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, France, Greece, Germany, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Israel, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Türkiye, United Arab Emirates, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, India.
- To check your eligibility, you can go to leagues.withgoogle.com.
You must have a Google Play Games profile or create one. Learn how to get started with Google Play Games.
You must agree to Play Games Leagues terms of service.

Tip: If your Google Play Points level is Gold or above, you may be able to join the Play Games Leagues a little sooner than other players. This may vary based on the specific league. Learn how to check your Google Play Points level.

Participate in a league

Important: To ensure your score is tracked correctly for the league, please make sure you have the latest version of the participating game installed on your device. Learn how to update apps on Android.

Find leagues:
- Information about available leagues can be found within Google Play.
  1. On Google Play, go to Games home.
  2. At the top, search for league announcements in the featured content.
- You can also go directly to leagues.withgoogle.com.
Tip: If you're a Play Points member, you can find what leagues are available in the “Perks” tab:
1. Open the Google Play app .
2. At the top right, tap the Profile icon.
3. Tap Play Points Perks.
Access details and join leagues:
- Sign in, confirm your Gamer Profile or create one and join the league.
Connect your Google Play Games account:
- Go to the game selected for the league then go to settings and connect your account to Google Play Games.
  - Make sure your account is connected to the selected game. Learn how to sign in to games automatically.
  - Important: To ensure your performance is tracked and your score is counted towards your rank, you must complete this step and connect the desired Google Play Games account.
Compete: When the league starts, play the game as usual. In-game performance will be tracked towards the league score. Specific in-game actions, items, or purchases that will contribute to your score is detailed in the announcement for each specific league at leagues.withgoogle.com.
View progress: During the league, after you reach a minimum score while playing, you’ll be ranked and will be able to compare your results with other players.
Reward redemption: After league ranks are finalized, if you finished in a rewarded rank, there’ll be an option to redeem your reward on the league’s page.
- If you can't find the option to redeem your reward yet, try again later. It might take a while to finalize the results and for the page to update.

Rewards in leagues

Google Play Points may be offered for participation and performance in leagues. You can use these points within Google Play. Learn more about how you can use points. Rewards must be redeemed before they expire. To redeem rewards, you must be enrolled in Google Play Points.

Rankings: Rankings and score in leagues are generally based on in-game performance from the start of the league period and until it ends. The specific ranking and scoring criteria may vary based on the game and the league. For example, scoring in a league might be based on the number of items collected, distance traveled, or levels completed. For more details on the specific league, go to leagues.withgoogle.com.
Availability: Leagues may be available for select games. Check the announcements to find which games will participate at leagues.withgoogle.com.
Schedule: Leagues may be offered periodically. The schedule of leagues may vary. For more information on current and future leagues, refer to Google Play.
Duration: The duration of each league may vary. Details about league start and end dates will be available on the league's page.
Rewards: The rewards of each league may vary. Details for specific leagues will be available on the league page.

Support & troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with leagues:

Review the league page: Before you participate, review the specific rules, what you need to accomplish in the game, and reward details for each league.
Connect Google Play Games account: Make sure that the desired Google Play Games profile is connected to the game to contribute to your score.
- If your score and rank aren’t updating, it’s likely that you didn’t connect your account or signed in to the game with a different account than your Google Play Games account.
- Check the account connected to Google Play Games and sign in to the games using the same account.
Update the game: To ensure your score is tracked correctly, please make sure you have the latest version of the game participating in the league. Learn how to update apps on Android.
Stay informed: Check the league page for other updates.
Fair play: Fair play is expected. Measures are in place to address unfair behavior.
