Members of the Google AI Pro and Google AI Ultra plans now have AI credits that can be used across Flow and Whisk.
Every month, Google AI Pro members get 1,000 AI credits while Google AI Ultra members get 25,000 AI credits. AI credits refresh at the start of every billing cycle.
- Unused AI credits don’t roll over to the next billing cycle.

To get access to more AI credits, you can upgrade to a Google AI Ultra plan or purchase additional AI credits. Learn how to update your Google One plan and troubleshoot upgrade issues.
- AI credits are available in Google One supported countries or regions where Whisk and Flow are available.
Tips:
- AI credits are considered spent once they’re used to perform an activity. If the AI tool fails, your remaining AI credits won’t be affected, but there might be a delay before they reappear.
- The amount of AI credits used for each model varies. Learn how AI credits are used.
Availability
- Users not eligible to use AI credits:
- Users under 18.
- Google One members subscribed through a third party, Pixel Pass, or Apple billing.
- You can share AI credits with your Google One family group. However, only the plan manager can buy additional AI credits, upgrade, or downgrade memberships.
- Flow: AI credits are supported for countries or regions where Flow is available. Learn more about where Flow is available.
- Whisk: AI credits are supported for countries or regions where Whisk Animate is available. Learn more about where Whisk Animate is available.
Starting on August 27, 2025, any personal Google Account that isn't subscribed to a Google AI membership plan will get 100 monthly AI credits that can be used with Flow to create videos with the Veo 3 Fast and Veo 3 Quality models.
When you run out of AI credits, you can find a banner that prompts you to upgrade to a Google AI membership plan. The banner reminds you that your AI credits reset each month at no charge.
You get a much larger monthly AI credit allowance and full access to all advanced features when you upgrade to:
- Google AI Plus
- Google AI Pro
- Google AI Ultra
Tips:
- The 100 AI credits reset monthly.
- If a video generation fails, the AI credits are re-credited.
Eligibility
To get the 100 monthly AI credits, you must:
- Have a personal Google Account.
- Be 18 years old or older to use Flow.
- Be in a country or region where Flow is available.
Users eligible for this offer are:
- Google One non-members.
- New and existing Google One members except for:
- Google AI Plus members
- Google AI Pro members
- Google AI Ultra members
Tips:
- Members with Google Workspace licenses that are eligible to upgrade to Google AI Ultra are also eligible for the 100 monthly AI credits.
- Existing Google AI Plus, Google AI Pro, and Google AI Ultra members aren’t eligible for the 100 monthly AI credits. Instead, you'll receive the monthly AI credits that are included in your membership.
Manage your AI credits
You can find your total remaining AI credits and AI credits activity through Whisk and Flow or in the Google One app.
You'll be notified if:
- Your AI credits are low.
- You don’t have enough AI credits to complete a request.
- You’re out of AI credits for the month.
Check your usage history
You can check your credit activity:
- For your remaining AI credits.
- For the next refresh date.
To review your credit usage, check your “AI credits activity.” This contains information like:
- Timestamp and date
- Category (for example, Whisk, Flow)
- Amount (shows subtractions and additions to your AI credits)
You can now share AI credits with your family group. When a plan manager purchases a Google AI Pro or Google AI Ultra membership and turns on family sharing, the family group can access the benefits. This includes storage space and AI credits, which can be pooled and shared.
However, the option to purchase additional AI credits, downgrade, or upgrade membership is only available to plan managers.
When you share your AI credits with your family, your AI credits activity shows the total credits consumed by your family group.
- AI credits activity shows each family member’s total credit usage.
- Members are sorted by most to least usage.
- Past members are combined in one entry.
When you have both individual and family membership:
- Monthly AI credits combine your individual and family allocations.
- Individual credits aren’t shared with the family group.
- Dual memberships have 2 refresh dates, individual and family.

Top-up AI credits
Important:
- Top-up AI credits are available to Google AI Ultra and Google AI Pro members.
- Top-up AI credits aren't available in Japan.
If you’ve run out of AI credits before the monthly refresh, you can:
- Purchase top-up AI credits.
- Upgrade to Google AI Ultra to get access to 25,000 monthly AI credits.

Tips:
- Your balance of top-up AI credits is valid for 12 months from the time of your last purchase.

- If you cancel your Google AI Ultra membership after purchasing top-up AI credits, any remaining top-up AI credits can be used in the Google AI Pro plan.
