When you subscribe to Google Play Pass, you’ll get over 1,000 games and apps, without ads or in-app purchases. Play Pass won’t give you access to all of Google Play, just a selection of apps and games. Availability of games, apps, and offers through a Play Pass subscription may vary by country and may change as new games are added or removed. Users in select regions may also get:

What you need
- Use a device with Android version 4.4 and above. Learn how to check your Android version.
- Have Google Play Store app version 16.6.25 and above.
- Be located in a country where Play Pass is available. Learn where Play Pass is available.
- Have a valid payment method. Learn how to add a payment method to Google Play.
- Have the same billing country and Google Play country. Learn how to change your Google Play country.
- Use a Google account. You can't subscribe to Play Pass with an account set up through your work or school.
- Be a family manager or able to create a family if you’d like to share Play Pass with your family.
- Be a Play Points member to receive the Google Play Points benefits available to Play Pass subscribers.
Buy a subscription to Google Play Pass
- Open the Google Play Store app

- At the top right, tap the Profile picture.
- Tap Play Pass

Create a family library
With a family library, you can share a Google Play Pass subscription with your Google Play family group. Learn more about Google Play family libraries.
Important: If you aren't part of a family group, you must create one first.
- Open the Google Play Store app

- At the top right, tap the Profile picture.
- Tap Settings

- To set up Family Library, follow the on-screen instructions.
Join a family and activate a Google Play Pass subscription
- Open the Google Play Store app

Use games and apps in Google Play Pass

- On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Play Store app

- At the bottom, tap Play Pass.
- Select an app.
- If the app is part of Play Pass, at the top of the app's details page, you can find a Play Pass logo.
If an app you use or game you play leaves Play Pass:
- Apps and games at no charge:
- You can still use the app or game, but you may start to get ads or have to pay for in-app items.
- Paid apps and games:
- You can use the paid app or game for some time before you’ll need to buy the app or game separately, outside of Play Pass.
- You can also uninstall the app.
Manage your Google Play Pass subscription
If you subscribe to Play Pass, you can use Google Play app to:
- Check when your plan renews.
- Change a payment method.
- Add a backup payment method.
- Cancel your Play Pass subscription.
To manage your subscription:
- Open the Google Play Store app

- At the top right, tap the Profile picture.
- Tap Payments & subscriptions

Tip: Currently, you can’t pause your Play Pass subscription. If you uninstall an app that you download through Play Pass, it doesn't cancel your subscription.
What happens when you cancel your Play Pass subscription
After you cancel your Play Pass subscription:
- You can’t use some content that you got from the subscription and benefits.
- When your subscription ends, you may lose Gold level benefits on Google Play Points. Your updated Google Play Points level will be based on how many points you’ve earned. Learn more about Gold level benefits on Google Play Points for Play Pass subscribers.
- The cancellation also applies to family members who activated the subscription.
- You can still use the apps and games you have until your subscription period ends.
- Any apps you install from Play Pass and their data stay on your device.
For content you got through Play Pass:
- You can get prompts to buy the app or subscribe to Play Pass from paid apps.
- In-app purchases are removed, but are available for individual purchase.
- You can find ads in apps where they’re removed.
- Any saved or active offers from Play Pass offers will be lost.
- If you join Play Pass again, you can use the contents again.
Play Pass subscriptions on Google Play Family Library:
- As the family manager, when you cancel the Play Pass subscription, you and any family members will lose access to the subscription at the end of your current billing period. When your current billing period ends, family members will no longer have Play Pass unless they set up their own subscription. Learn how to use Google Play Family Library.
After your subscription ends, you’ll lose access to the Play Pass tab on the Google Play Store app. Games and apps you get from the Play Pass catalog may start to show ads and in-app purchases.
