Ad extensions policy update (September 2016)

Google provides translated versions of the Advertising Policies Help Center, though they're not meant to change the content of the policies. The English version is the official language used to enforce Google Ads policies. To view this article in a different language, use the language dropdown at the bottom of the page.

In September 2016, we will update our policies for the ad extensions listed below. As a part of this update, we will allow specific ad extensions to appear with ads containing restricted content.

This change applies to the following ad extensions:

  • Sitelink extensions
  • Callout extensions
  • Structured snippets
  • Call extensions
  • Location extensions
  • Review extensions
  • Ad Customizers
  • Price extensions
  • Seller Ratings

This policy change applies to all languages available for each individual extension. This update will enable advertisers to widen their ad extensions inventory and provide more choices to users. After the new policy goes into effect, the Ad formats and features policies will be updated to reflect this change.
