A note on our name
SATPP has been publishing impactful research on the prevention and care of substance use since 2006. During this time, our understanding of how language can be stigmatizing to people who use drugs has evolved. We recognize that the title of our Journal has not kept up with the times and we are taking steps to change our name. There is a long process with the indexing services we rely on (Web of Science, DOAJ, MEDLINE), which is important to protect the literature from predatory publishers, but means we must keep publishing under an inappropriate journal title for a time. We hope you can understand and bear with us during this period of change.
