Automatic blackhole control and ban. Nodes that keep flooding the network with announces are now banned automatically. Fix your announce rate or you will be out of the RMAP backbone: from today our servers are for healthy peers only, for the security and stability of the whole network.

Services. NomadNet nodes, RRC hubs, LXMF propagation nodes, RetiBBS and PartyLine relays are found from their own announces and listed apart from the network. Announces from apps rmap does not know yet are listed as Other, hidden by default ("Hide unknown aspects"). Personal addresses are never listed.

Yggdrasil, Mycelium and Tor backbones are recognised by their address, with their own colour and pin.

New nodes are not judged at once: their announce rate stays grey, "calculating", for the first 6 hours.

Nodes and Services tabs in the list, each with its own filters. Ctrl+click picks more than one; tick "also on map" and the map follows the list.

Improved navigation from mobile devices. On a phone a node now opens in a panel that slides up from the bottom: it scrolls with your finger, Copy Config and Close are always at hand, and the node stays visible on the map above it. Tap the map to close it. The top bar shows icons only, so every button fits on the screen.

The node list is light now. The full list used to arrive as ready-made HTML for every node - around 2 MB to look at a handful of cards. It now loads twenty at a time, with a "Load more nodes" button, and it carries the same search, the same LXMF filter and the same announce-rate colours as the map. The map itself went on a diet too: three fields nobody reads are no longer sent on every refresh.

Copy config, fixed for RNS 1.5.6. Every node card in the list now has the button as well. For a radio node the snippet no longer carries the other node's name or identity - what you copy is your interface, set up to be heard by it, under a plain [[RNode LoRa Interface]]. I2P peers get their .b32.i2p suffix back (without it the address does not resolve), and Weave, KISS and AX.25 nodes produce their own interface type instead of a TCP one.

An update hint. A node running an RNS older than the current release gets a small amber arrow in the list, with its version in the tooltip. It is a suggestion, not a verdict - and it only shows for nodes that actually run RNS.

Hop view. A new button above "Hide UI" draws the links between nodes, animated, so you can see how the network is actually wired instead of just where the nodes are. Links from rmap itself are off by default - rmap is a backbone with a lot of direct peers and it gets busy fast - and when you turn them on they are split into trunk (a peer other nodes reach the network through) and spoke (a peer that relays for nobody).

Reach the operator. Nodes that publish an operator LXMF address now show an envelope in the side list, and the new With LXMF Address filter - in the panel tabs, in the status bar and in the map filter menu - leaves only the nodes you can actually write to.

Distance in hops. Every popup reports Hops from rmap: it is how far the node is from this server, not a property of the node itself.

Flooders get a thumbs down. A node whose announce counter is red now carries it next to the count, with a reminder that flooding leads to a ban. The scale behind the colour has also been relaxed: green now runs up to 3 announces/hour - one every 20 minutes - yellow up to 6/hour, and red starts above one announce every 10 minutes. Below ten minutes there is no legitimate reason to re-announce.

Search now covers every field. It used to look at the name and the hash only, so an IP address, an RNS version or a transport id could be sitting in the popup and still not be findable. Now anything a node announces is searchable - host, port, transport id, operator LXMF address, software and version, radio parameters, IFAC network, hops - including the fields the daemon decoded but cannot name yet. Type a word to search everywhere, or key:value to pin it to one field (host:192.168, version:1.5.6, sf:7), with hops:>2 for numbers. Several terms narrow the result together.

Announce rate now visible from the list. In v4.3 you had to open a node to see how often it announces. Now the announce counter in the side list carries the same colour: green healthy, yellow chatty, red flooding - so you can see who behaves at a glance, without opening nodes one by one. A node too new to have a measured rate shows green: it is assumed to behave, and turns red on its own once there is enough data to say otherwise.

Flooding no longer buys the top spot. Nodes in red are now listed below all green and yellow ones. The old order rewarded noise: the more you announced, the higher you climbed. Nothing is hidden and nothing is filtered - every node is still there and all announces still arrive live - they just no longer sit in front of the nodes that behave.

RNS 1.5.4 fields have names. The two new fields a node announces about itself used to show up as field 253 and field 252. They are the software and its version, and each popup now reads them as one line - Running: RNS 1.5.4.

Next release: automatic removal from the map for nodes that keep flooding. Please keep your announce interval sane.

Also in v4.3

Map protocol aligned to RNS 1.5.0: node fields now follow the official Reticulum discovery keys, so what you see is what the protocol actually announces. This adds the IFAC network name and passphrase, modulation and channel, and the new operator LXMF address, while fixing several fields that were previously shown under the wrong label. Copyable configs now match the ones Reticulum itself generates.
Every node popup now also shows its announce rate, measured over its most recent announces: green is a healthy node, yellow is chatty, red means it is flooding the network and is a candidate for blacklisting. Please keep your announce interval sane.
The rmap TCP server is running on RNS 1.5.0.

New selectable basemaps (OpenStreetMap, OpenFreeMap Liberty & Dark, satellite): the previous ones were dropped after some providers introduced API-key limits. Plus faster loading, live-synced node counters, and automatic blacklisting of malformed / announce-spamming nodes. The integrated web flasher is still one click away.

Malformed nodes and nodes that flood the network with announces will be blacklisted without notice: removed from this map and blackholed on the RMAP Reticulum transport node. Please configure your node correctly and keep announce rates sane, out of respect for the network and its users.
