it's great but can anyone explain why it downloads twice, once from the site offering the content (probably opening a port or some sort) then again to download the file. thing is it appears from the user experience that the first download /mounting to books is for the file so it seems almost strange when asked to download it again.

Google Books is really helpful, especially when I need to look for references or preview books before buying. I like how easy it is to search for titles and authors, and sometimes I even discover new books I didn’t expect. It’s also convenient for students who need access to textbooks or want to read on the go. Very useful and reliable app. 📚🥰🤍

I cannot download the ebooks I have purchased for some reason. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it didn't work. It keeps saying "The book cannot be downloaded right now. Try again later." It's been like this all day. This is the first time I am having such an issue with google books. I can still download the samples of unpurchased ebooks though. This is very strange. Help. (april, 2025) issue seems fixed, not too sure how though, still a little slow, rating changed to 4 stars
