Mail is stored only until the mailbox expires, then deleted automatically. Each mailbox is isolated under your account, so no one else can read it. Do not use it for anything that must stay permanently recoverable.
No. Expired mailboxes and their messages are permanently deleted and cannot be restored. Move anything you need to keep out before it expires, or pick a longer validity period.
