The big Beckham-Peltz wealth gap: How different are the two families' finances?
The Beckham feud has been ongoing for over half a year at this point, with the true source of the divide still unknown.
Initially it was reported that the division was caused by Romeo Beckham dating London-based DJ Kim Turnbull, Brooklyn Beckham’s old school friend. But this has been disputed for months, with Turnbull openly calling herself a “scapegoat” since her breakup from Romeo in June.
Still, something is clearly afoot. Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have been absent from family events since Christmas and both have been noticeably silent when it comes to addressing Beckham family milestones on social media, including Sir David Beckham’s knighthood and 50th birthday.
The A-list couple are perfectly willing to address Peltz family celebrations, however, including birthdays, anniversaries and engagements.
The two families differ in many ways. One of those is size: Nicola Peltz, daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, is one of eight siblings, with an additional two half-siblings from Nelson’s first marriage. Brooklyn Beckham is the eldest of four and has three younger siblings, Romeo, Cruz, and Harper.
The other notable difference is wealth.
What is the Beckham family net worth?
The Beckhams are British celebrity royalty, sure. Victoria Beckham is a successful, respected fashion designer and former Spice Girl, and David Beckham is an England and Manchester United footballing legend. Together, their combined net worth is an estimated £500 million, according to The Sunday Times Rich List 2025, up from £455m in 2024.
David Beckham is part-owner of Inter Miami football club, which is estimated by The Sunday Times to be worth about $1.2 billion (£905m), making Beckham’s 26 per cent stake worth $312 million (£235m). He also has investments in the supplement business IM8 and serves as a co-designer at Hugo Boss. He has sponsorship deals with Pepsi, Tudor watches, Stella Artois and SharkNinja.
Victoria is almost solely committed to her fashion label, which finally turned a profit in 2022. According to The Sunday Times, sources close to co-owners Neo Investment Partners believe it is worth £375m, making the Beckhams’ 35 per cent stake worth an estimated £130m.
The listing also highlights their property profile, which includes a £60m home in Miami, their £50m pad in Holland Park, and their £12m Cotswolds retreat, which is located right next to Soho Farmhouse.
All of these figures are dwarfed by the wealth of Nelson Peltz, which is more than double the Beckhams’.
What is the Peltz family net worth?
Nelson Peltz’s net worth currently stands at around $1.6 billion (£1.2 billion), according to Forbes. Peltz is an incredibly successful businessman: he is a founding partner of Trian Partners, an alternative investment management fund based in New York, and a non-executive chairman of Wendy's Company, Sysco, and The Madison Square Garden Company.
He started out as a food truck delivery driver for A. Peltz & Sons, his grandfather’s business. After working his way up the business, he acquired several other food companies and built up a foodservice empire.
After cutting his teeth as an investor, he founded his own investment firm, Trian, which now has an estimated $8.5 billion (£6.36 billion) in assets under management, with a highly concentrated portfolio that includes stakes in Bank of New York Mellon, DuPont and food conglomerate Mondelez International. According to Nelson Peltz’s close confidant, the golfer and entrepreneur Greg Norman, “Nelson isn’t a Harvard type. He’s street smart. He understands what the masses want.”
Peltz has powerful friends, including President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, who he once said he played “matchmaker” for (though this isn’t going too well as it stands). “Elon is a friend of mine,” Peltz said at the CNBC Delivering Alpha conference in November 2024. He explained how Musk, together with Peltz’s son Diesel, “had a breakfast at the house, we invited Donald for breakfast, and they [Donald and Elon] sort of reunited again… I hope it’s good, you know. I was a matchmaker.”
As for material possessions: Peltz’s Regency-style oceanfront estate in Palm Beach, Florida, where Nicola and Brooklyn's wedding celebrations took place, is estimated to be worth $334 million ($250 million). Meanwhile his 130-acre property in Bedford, New York, known as High Winds, has its own helipad, indoor ice rink and waterfall. He also has use of two private jets, according to Tatler, and used to commute to work in the city via helicopter.
His wife, former fashion model Claudia Peltz, 70, is the fashionista of the family and reportedly has an impressive diamond jewellery collection. Meanwhile Nelson is apparently an avid collector of Impressionist art, the proud owner of works by Renoir, Cezanne and Degas.
And the Peltz family loves a party: according to the Mail Online, Nelson spent £800,000 on a Bar Mitzvah for his twin sons back in 2016. This was followed by Brooklyn and Nicola’s lavish wedding celebrations in 2022, which cost an estimated £3m. The bride wore a custom dress by Valentino, and 500 guests were entertained.
The great Beckham-Peltz wealth gap can also be illustrated by the yachts on which the respective families are holidaying this year. The Beckhams own a £20 million yacht called Seven, which they’re currently on board near St Tropez alongside son Romeo and daughter Harper, as well as celebrity friend Eva Longoria.
They narrowly missed a run-in with their son and daughter-in-law, who were located around the same port on a Peltz family holiday just weeks before.
By comparison, the yacht rented by the Peltz family, known as Project X, costs an estimated £85m, with a rental price of £1.2m a week.
While the Beckhams’ yacht includes a spa bath and jet ski, the Peltz’s holiday yacht included a huge glass-sided swimming pool, wellness suite, spa and 360-degree sundeck. Granted, the Beckhams own their yacht, while Nelson Peltz does not.
However, it has been reported in the press that the crucial difference between the Peltz and Beckham family fortunes is not to do with value, but attitude.
“David and Victoria are two working-class kids done good,” a source told The Sun. “They have grafted hard for their money and understand that with privilege comes responsibility,” the source claimed. “On principle, they will not needlessly spoil their kids and have taught them the value of both industry and money. They’re like Gordon and Tana Ramsay in that regard.”
The source continued: “Nelson Peltz, on the other hand, is a billionaire investor and he and his wife Claudia regard Nicola, their little girl, as the apple of their eye.
“Understandably, they want to indulge her and ensure she never struggles.”
Amid Brooklyn Beckham allegedly requesting a “no contact” rule with his family amid the ongoing feud, he has ramped up promotion of his new hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, with the eldest Beckham son clearly keen to make something of himself.
