What We Offer
Let us know what you need so we can tailor your rehab or wellness program specifically to your needs and goals.
Best for pain, injury, post-surgical recovery, and movement limitations.
We utilize various manual therapy techniques along with skilled exercise to address your pain and injury. All appointments are one hour long directly with your physical therapist.
Best for continuing progress after formal PT ends.
For individuals who have completed PT to treat an injury but still want to work on wellness or sport goals, a skilled therapist can work with you on personalized or sport-specific exercises. This service is not covered by insurance.
Best for athletes returning to training, play, or competition.
After your traditional PT program has ended, we focus on exercise and training tailored to your sport and mechanics to help you get back to play without re-injury.
Best for balance, coordination, neurologic conditions, and daily function.
Neurologic physical therapy restores the connection between the brain and the body due to various conditions or injury. Therapy targets balance, coordination, and function to help return and maintain your ability to complete daily tasks.
Best for hand injuries, surgery recovery, stiffness, pain, and upper extremity function.
We offer services from a skilled hand therapist to help people recover from acute and chronic hand injuries, rehabilitate after hand surgery, and return to activities they love with less pain and better movement.
Best for community wellness, education, and prevention.
Stay tuned for upcoming programming. GFPT hosts monthly events designed to promote the health and wellness of our community members. Please contact us about our events.
Best for home workstations, office discomfort, and workplace wellness.
We assess your home workstation to identify changes to improve posture, mechanics, and minimize pain. We also provide exercises tailored to your needs to help you get through the workday pain free. This service is also offered to local businesses to address the needs of their employees.
Best for children and young adults ages 2–21 who need support with strength, balance, coordination, mobility, and participation.
Our pediatric program includes therapy for ages 2-21. With pediatric populations, the focus is centered around participation and function in day-to-day activities. Therapy is often more play- or skill-based to encourage strong carryover into everyday life. Therapy consists of gross motor strengthening, balance and coordination, postural control, and ensuring a fun time for all.
Diagnoses we treat include gross motor delays, developmental delay, toe walking, hypotonia or low tone, developmental coordination disorders, neurodevelopmental disorders, and autism.
Best for injury prevention, performance goals, and sport-specific mechanics.
We conduct a functional assessment, review your sport-specific goals, determine where you may be at risk for injury, and provide exercises and instruction to improve your skills and prevent injury.
At Great Falls Physical Therapy, your appointment is built around you, your goals, and your provider’s clinical judgment.

Why Out of Network?
Great Falls Physical Therapy strives to provide the best care to all patients. Because Great Falls Physical Therapy is out-of-network, we are able to tailor our appointments and take the extra time to make sure you get the care you need. This allows patients to get better more efficiently than a traditional factory PT setting and minimizes long-term costs.
Great Falls Physical Therapy is out of network with all insurance companies including Medicare. Payment is due at time of service. For your convenience, we verify your insurance coverage and provide an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs before your initial evaluation. We also bill and submit your claim to your insurance company on your behalf. After meeting your deductible, your insurance company will send reimbursement to you directly. Health savings accounts may be used for payment.
Frequently Asked Questions
Virginia is a Direct Access State. This allows most patients to directly access a physical therapist without a physician referral. Medicare patients require an MD referral for physical therapy.
We are happy to schedule an evaluation to determine if you are an appropriate candidate for physical therapy services. If your diagnosis is out of our scope, we will work with you to determine an appropriate referral. If you have questions, please call 703-349-1030 or email info@greatfallspt.com to determine if you would benefit from an evaluation.
Great Falls Physical Therapy is an out-of-network provider. We still can work with most insurance companies as a non-participating provider. Prior to scheduling your first evaluation, we will contact your insurance company to verify your benefits and provide an estimate of your out-of-pocket costs. Payment is due when services are provided.
This means that Great Falls Physical Therapy has not contracted with your insurance company for reimbursement at a negotiated rate. We can give you one-on-one time and attention to reach your health goals, unlike conventional in-network practices.
Please arrive with comfortable clothing that you are able to move in.
Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your initial evaluation if you still need to complete paperwork. Please feel free to utilize our outdoor covered porch on the Village Centre Green while you wait.
A child may benefit from physical therapy evaluation and/or continued care for delays with gross motor milestones, generalized weakness, difficulty maintaining the same activity level as peers, difficulty with gross motor movements such as walking, jumping, or running, frequent falls or balance concerns, tight or stiff muscles, pain, or poor endurance and easy fatigue.
Schedule an evaluation and let the Great Falls Physical Therapy team help you choose the right path.
