Transparent Background

Hello,
I want to know if it is possible to enable the transparent background in termux? I am curious to know how to do that. I tried adding:-

background_opacity = <0>

In termux.properties after reading from a specific GitHub repo but nothing happened. So, I want to know the method to do that. And a second question is that if I enable the transparent background, will it consume more power?

2. To answer you second question, YES, it will consume more power and battery usage will be high. This happens because termux need to render that background every time your termux interface runs, with texts and stuff in foreground.
