If you never created a Master Password yourself, I don't think there is a universal default password. It may have been set accidentally, imported from a previous configuration, or required after a recent update. I would recommend checking the following:

Hello,Thank you for your express answer.
1 GWLauncher ver 17.22.0.02 WIN11 WIN11 is well up to date3 I haven't changed any settings, except to always enable in admin.
I don't understand how this happened, I use it every day while playing "Guild Wars Reforged"...

I would recommend checking the following:
- Verify whether GWLauncher was recently updated before this started happening.
- Look for any configuration or settings file that stores the Master Password (or password protection) and check if it can be reset.
- If you have a backup of your previous configuration, compare it with the current one.
- If none of these help, this is probably something only the GWLauncher developers can confirm, as they can tell whether this is an intended security feature or a bug.
Could you also share:
- Which version of GWLauncher you're using?
- Which operating system (Windows version)?
- Did this start after an update or after changing any settings?
That information will make it easier to identify the exact cause.

I just encountered this issue. Open the accounts.json file in notepad.exe VERY CAREFULLY check that each line has 2 sets of ""'s What is likely to have happened is that you manually edited the file, and missed a ", which caused it to think the .json was encrypted when it wasn't. Replace the missing " and you should be fine. |

Hello everyone! for 2 days I can no longer launch (in admin again) GW_Launcher and open normally, because it asks me for a "Master Password" that I never created...
Is there a temporary standard Master Password, and will it be changed right after? Because I'm totally stuck...
Thank you in advance for your help and especially for your solutions.
