V2RAY REALITY IS SO LOW SPEED

v2rayNG VLESS + REALITY very low speed on mobile data

Hi everyone,

I'm having a very strange speed problem with v2rayNG and I would appreciate any help.

My setup:

• Phone: Samsung Galaxy A24
• Android: Android 16
• v2rayNG: 2.2.5
• Xray-core: 26.6.1
• Mobile network: Vodafone 4G/4.5G
• Protocol: VLESS
• Transport: TCP
• Security: REALITY
• Flow: "xtls-rprx-vision"
• Mux: disabled
• Fragment: disabled
• Server: VPS with a 1 Gbps connection
• BBR: enabled on the VPS

The strange part is the speed.

At one point, another phone (Xiaomi Mi 14) using the same server/config reached around 72 Mbps. Later, the same phone dropped to around 22 Mbps.

On my Galaxy A24, I usually get around 13–30 Mbps through v2rayNG.

I also tested without the VPN. At around midnight, I got:

VPN OFF:

• 21.83 Mbps
• 30.77 Mbps
• 22.12 Mbps

VPN ON:

• 17.22 Mbps
• 21.81 Mbps
• 15.58 Mbps

So the VPN adds some overhead, but the mobile connection itself is also much slower than the 72 Mbps I previously observed on the Xiaomi phone.

I also noticed that removing "xtls-rprx-vision" made the speed worse, so I enabled it again.

The VPS itself does not appear to be bandwidth-limited. I also checked BBR and it is enabled.

What could cause this large and inconsistent speed difference? Could this be related to v2rayNG, Xray-core 26.6.1, Android's VPN implementation, TCP/REALITY/Vision, or the Vodafone mobile network?

What settings or tests would you recommend to identify the actual bottleneck?
