We join a distinguished international consortium “ArRiyadh New Mobility @ Line 2 Extension” ("ANM@L2E") led by Webuild, alongside Larsen & Toubro, Nesma & Partners and Alstom. The Line 2 extension will span 8.4 kilometers, including a 1.3 km elevated section and a 7.1 km underground segment. It will feature five new stations—two elevated and three underground—extending from the current King Saud University (KSU) terminus to KSU Medical City, KSU West, Diriyah East, Diriyah Central, and ending at Diriyah South. Every success is built on the dedication, passion, and hard work of a team of professionals who have contributed their best over the years to make it possible. 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲: 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘀   The LIFE Stop Cortaderia project aims to control the spread of the pampas feather duster Grass (Cortaderia selloana) in the European Atlantic Arc, particularly in Cantabria.   Thanks to the project, 305 hectares of pampas grass have been eliminated from coastal areas, and 38 hectares from inland valleys. Affected habitats, such as forests and marshes, have also been restored.  At the regional level, LIFE Stop Cortaderia has created a coordinated strategy involving Spain, Portugal and France.   The LIFE Programme is a European Union financial instrument focused on environmental and climate action. IDOM is responsible for the technical and financial management of LIFE projects in Spain and Portugal. #LifeProgramme #restoration ----------- 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗘: 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗱𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘀 LIFE Stop Cortaderia se enfoca en controlar la expansión del plumero de la Pampa (Cortaderia selloana) en el Arco Atlántico europeo, especialmente en Cantabria.  Gracias al proyecto se han eliminado 305 hectáreas de plumero en áreas costeras y 38 hectáreas en valles interiores, y se han restaurado hábitats afectados, como bosques y marismas. A nivel regional, el proyecto creó una estrategia coordinada entre España, Portugal y Francia.  El programa LIFE es un instrumento financiero de la Unión Europea dedicado al medio ambiente y a la acción por el clima. 𝗜𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗪𝗪𝗧𝗣 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘂 On July 16, the concession contract for the city of Chincha's wastewater treatment project (PTAR Chincha) was signed at the Peruvian Government Palace in the presence of the country's top authorities. The project will benefit over 345,000 people and is a significant step toward closing the sanitation gap. At IDOM, we accompanied ProInversión Perú and Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo as supervisors of the structuring process, ensuring that the design of the contracts met the highest international standards and responded to the needs of the public sector and the requirements of the private investor. The Chincha WWTP is the first of six plants in a portfolio that aims to improve access to sanitation in various regions of the country. Este proyecto beneficiará a más de 345.000 personas y representa un paso clave hacia el cierre de brechas en saneamiento. Desde IDOM hemos acompañado a Proinversión y al BID como supervisores del proceso de estructuración, asegurando que el diseño de los contratos cumpla con los más altos estándares internacionales y responda tanto a las necesidades del sector público como a los requerimientos del inversor privado. La PTAR Chincha es la primera de una cartera de seis plantas que buscan transformar el acceso al saneamiento en diversas regiones del país. Este conjunto acogerá los proyectos de Vicomtech e Ikerlan. El edificio Helena Matute será el primero de los que darán forma a este Campus, único a nivel internacional, destinado a acoger empresas de vanguardia. 𝗜𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆   IDOM intends to boost its design and supply of complex engineering systems for science and technology with these new facilities. Work carried out in these facilities is expected to directly impact the development of projects such as: - Optical systems - Instruments and large mobile structures for telescopes - Specialized mechatronic systems - Unique test benches - Diagnostics a microwave heating systems for fusion reactors, to name a few. The initiative will increase the number of highly qualified jobs necessary for IDOM's future development.   IDOM's Science Factory facilities will be located in the future Bizkaia Technology Park in Zorrotzaurre, a few meters from IDOM's current headquarters, whose groundbreaking ceremony was held today with the authorities: Imanol Pradales Gil, lehendakari; Juan Mari Aburto, mayor of Bilbao; Elixabete Etxanobe Landajuela, deputy general of Bizkaia, and Mikel Jauregi, councilor of industry, energy transition, and sustainability, among others.   The facilities will span more than 15,000 m² and will be focused on creating unique, high-value solutions for some of the world's most prestigious technological institutions.   Thanks to everyone who is making this possible. ----------- 𝗜𝗗𝗢𝗠 𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝘀𝘂 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆   Con estas nuevas instalaciones IDOM pretende impulsar su actividad de diseño y suministro de sistemas de ingeniería complejos para Ciencia y Tecnología. Del trabajo realizado en estas instalaciones se espera un impacto directo en la realización de proyectos como: - Sistemas ópticos - Instrumentos y grandes estructuras móviles para telescopios - Sistemas mecatrónicos especializados - Bancos de ensayos singulares - Diagnósticos o sistemas de calentamiento por microondas para reactores de fusión, por citar algunos La iniciativa permitirá, además, el incremento de puestos de trabajo de alta cualificación necesarios para el desarrollo de IDOM en el futuro próximo.   Las instalaciones de Science Factory de IDOM se ubicarán en el futuro Parque Tecnológico de Bizkaia en Zorrotzaurre a escasos metros de la sede actual de IDOM, cuyo acto de arranque de obras se ha realizado hoy con las autoridades: Imanol Pradales, lehendakari; Juan Mari Aburto, alcalde de Bilbao; Elixabete Etxanobe, diputada general de Bizkaia; Mikel Jauregi, consejero de industria, transición energética y sostenibilidad, entre otros.
